Rabbit Trails

I am sewing and finishing up some aprons dresses for a Hutch customer today. When I am finished with them, I am going to watch our holiday Martha Stewart dvd's and sew on the buttons and snaps and whatever else I find to fix them up! I also have a MUM family to work on........ We have the windows closed and the ac on. We could live without the ac today, but it sure feels nice. I had pizza for breakfast and lunch, I am doing an odd load of clothes right now..........an old tablecloth, a cloth shower curtain, some t-shirts, some dresses I saved from the sale we had and some doilies..........I am going to make curtains for our bedroom out of the table cloth and shower curtain........we have dark Egyptian curtains in there right now, and I want to lighten things up a bit. BUT, I'm not going to buy curtains. This will be much more fun! I planted the bulbs I got for free and it rained a little bit yesterday.......so hopefully they will bloom and grow. I have some TALL irises

I was looking back at some pictures this morning, and it looks like we did the Redwall Feast in March last year. Everything did NOT turn out, but we had a great time anyway. Maybe everything in your day will not turn out, but you can have a great time, *anyway*. These are the colors I have chosen for the new kitchen.........coming this summer! The countertops will be Formica *All That Jazz*, we will paint the cabinets and trim all of these colors. I think the flooring will be industrial tile like you see in churches and grocery stores! I like spatters/splatters of different colors. There will be very little actual WALL when we are finished with the new kitchen............just like now. There is no wall in my kitchen. Don't ask me how you can have a big kitchen and no wall. The only picture I have ever been able to hang in my kitchen was a 5X7 of a mouse. I'm also getting a gas stove. I'm sure I will learn to like it. PaPa is building the cabinets for me. We're going to have them all built before we 'gut' the kitchen. (Daniel is financing the whole thing.) I already have the sink. It is in our bedroom.

see how the blue-bonnets hopped outof the garden into the yard? my garden bunny I love nasturtiums...........I'm just glad I'm not a larkspur trying to grow in the midst of these flowers. Oh yeah! Kim and I were driving down a residential street in LJ today and there was a house that had three trash cans out front. It said FREE. There were 3 kinds of bulbs........you could get as many as you wanted........I didn't get any cannas. I don't like them, they always look so skraggly. I got caladium and iris. We didn't find the garage sale we were looking for, but getting the bulbs was just as fun.

We all got sunburned . It was a fun fun day with each other, but we all got sunburned . Yes, we made lots of money, but we all got sunburned . We ate pizza and drank drinks from Sonic. And we all got sunburned . The weather was deceiving.........the sun WAS shining, but there was a beautiful cool breeze. We were fooled into thinking we were safe. But we all got sunburned .

Rhett is not our cat, but we would sure like him to be. We were babysitting for PaPa and Granny, they surely did it enough for us with Boomer...........Rhett was probably twice the size as Jolly, but he never let on that he was. He gently batted at her and was careful to never pounce on her head........he wanted to play, but she was so new to our home, she wasn't very good at it, so he had to be patient with her. Since Rhett left, Jolly has been acting like a dog. She trots just like a little puppy everywhere she goes! She also has a knack for knocking things over, too. I guess we will have to nail everything down. dumb cats.

James let me get a screen door! We stood in Lowe's the other day for about 45 minutes (forever) trying to decide whether or not to do it. Standing in a Lowe's aisle is not a good place to do the pro and con thing. That's where we ended up doing it. The screen door won. Not because it was the smartest thing, but because it would be fun. It has been years since I have heard a screen door slam, and it sure sounds good! It has an extra screen on the bottom to deter cats. We'll see about that.........Now I want one for the back door.

This is the cat that didn't work out. We named her Clara...........for a few short days she was at our house.......hiding, running, ears back, tail twitching.........

My grandson is throwing away a skirt. This was not just any skirt. I bought it used probably around 16 years ago. I wore it for a while being pregnant with our last two kids and used it when I wasn't pregnant. When I was done with it, I gave it to Sara and she wore it when she was pregnant with two of her kids and wore it when she wasn't........this skirt got some hard miles and both of us got LOTS of many happy skirty days out of it. But it was shot. She has had it for a while and it needed to be chunked, but she just couldn't do it. So I got an idea. We could have her oldest son do the deed. It was easy for him. Just open up the trash can, and throw it in there. Good bye blue skirt. It has to be 2 of the best dollars I ever spent.

He is the sweetest little thing. He weighed 7 lbs. 6 oz. and was 20" long. He seemed pretty little to me........

ETERNITY My husband is teaching through the book of John in Sunday School and he came across a verse that got me to thinking. People have all sorts of ideas and thoughts about eternity, death, hell, and the grave. I told somebody not too long ago, that they can't afford to be wrong about these things. I have 18 replies that I have heard the lost give when they are asked about their eternity. Many of these very things have been said to me at one time or another. I didn't make them up. If you are not saved, born again, and on your way to heaven and know it for sure, and you read this, maybe it will clear some things up for you. If you are a Christian, maybe it will help you have some ready answers when you deal with those that don't know the Lord. I am not pretending that this is exhaustive, I am sure there are many more verses to support what I have written, but I don't want to write a book here! I will number them so it's easy to keep track of where you are, I will
