My newest bunnies........

I got the bunny with the basket from a thrift store here in town.......I put plums in it instead of eggs. I got the other bunny (the one with two holes on the top of his head) in Blanco, Texas in an antique store. What a delight it was to see them match. I'll have to keep them on the same shelf. Aren't they lovely? Even if they're not purple?

Have a good Sunday!

May all of you have a "Double Zinnia" day tomorrow!!!!!

why why why?????

the only kind of food I seem to grow is food I will NOT eat well, here it is anyway we'll see if it's sweet not ME, somebody else will have to see

My Birthday Party!!!

This is Yolanda's home............. Theresa gave me a laid back bunny! I got a purple quilt......... A BEAUTIFUL purple cake........it's marbled and Lydia said it was burnt in stripes!

Fun 4th..........

This made me smile........

For some reason, until now, I have missed some 4th of July pictures on our Picasa picture program. Everybody at our church for the 4th gets as red, white, and blue as they can! This is always a good day for pictures.

decisions

Boy, what do ya do when you have so many choices? Just get a BLIZZARD! If you ask real nice, they will mix two together. I got a Chocolate Extreme/Extreme chocolate (whatever) and a something something CheeseQUAKE. boy, was it yummy.

the LONG hike

I just love this picture.................

Supper

Kimberly made this for supper on Wednesday night. It was a layered dip to eat with corn chips. I thought it was beautiful. Not like a 'zinnia' is beautiful....presentation presentation presentation!!!!!!

Zinnia

This is my favorite color of a zinnia. They are going crazy blooming right now because of all the rain.

Why am I home on a Wednesday night?

We were sitting in church and Olivia got a terrible headache and her back started hurting. I brought her home. She is in bed. I didn't want to leave her alone. That's why I'm not in church.

Approaching Enchanted Rock

Just a note here about dresses and hiking.......we went on LOTS of walks, trails, hikes and roads. We climbed, we slid, we teetered back and forth between rocks, we slipped and trotted. Not ONCE did we show anything that didn't need to be shown. You do not need to wear jeans, capris or anything else to do these kinds of things. Olivia, Lydia and I each fell. Olivia at Enchanted Rock, Lydia on the 7 mile trail, and me on the Trammel's Crossing trail. You can even fall down without being immodest. Now, I don't know for sure about Olivia and her bike trip, but for the most part........it's not true that you gotta dress up like a guy to do these things.

Guess where I am..........

Lydia and the Deer

This was in Fredericksburg............the girls were supposed to be shopping, they must have gotten off Main Street or something.

Mile 7

If somebody came up the trail backwards, they could just take a picture of themselves by marker 7. We didn't do that though. We still had half a mile to go after this........but we all made it. Wolf Mountain Trail........fun stuff.

REX

This is a dog. This is not a cat. I came out of the camping trailer one evening and an old man was standing in the camping spot next to us. He mumbled something about somebody liking to climb trees........I said......oh, your grandson likes to climb trees? No, his dog likes to climb trees. You can't tell how high this tree is, but the dog crawled far enough up in it where you couldn't reach him. Ain't that crazy? The dog was a cast-off, this old man took him and made him his beloved pet. He came back by and I called Lydia so she could see it. Her eyes about bugged out of her head when that dog scrabbled up the tree! But, whaddya think........my camera batteries were dead. This is one Olivia took.

snort snort

how piggy can you get?

scroll down.......remember I blog upsideown

cool houses, huh?

don't try it.............

don't try to get ME to live in a house like these..... no-sireeeeeee First of all, what kind of a gate is that anyway? Made out of sticks? A house with a red tin roof? What were they thinking? A bungalow? With a built up cement yard enclosure? Whatever. A picket fence. I imagine there is a clothes line in the back somewhere that I would be expected to use.

Dooley's in Fredericksburg

This is one of my top three favorite stores. (one of the others is the gift shop at Mount Vernon) This is an old fashion five and dime store with creaky wooden floors. They have things like the stores did when I was little. It even smells like the stores did when I was a little kid. Lydia bought me a dollars worth of buttons for my birthday. I will hate to cut them off the card and use them..........some special way will come along to use them, I'm sure.

A Glorious Creek Full Of Rocks!!!!

This was one of my favorite places.............cold water was running over smooth rocks................
