Winter Party 2012

We have our tree outside this year.   It's perfectly shaped and free.   Next year we will need a ladder to put lights on it.   I got this little glass tree at a sale down the street. There could be a sale in DECEMBER because it was 80 and Spring-like out. I like crystal and glass decorations. It snowed right in our doorway. It's the kind that will last all season. It's also the kind that won't melt when it's 80 out. Before the party.............. We first had a devotion about the Proverbs 31 Woman and what we should REALLY want this time of year. It IS the *most wonderful time of the year* any time you are obedient to what the Lord wants from you as a woman. We had a candle exchange........ we all brought one concealed in wrapping paper and  went home with a different one! Then we ate. And ate. The food was ALL very party like. Just perfect. It was so good to be with our wo...

Celebration!

Thinking back to my life before I got saved..... a celebration meant a totally different thing to me. Today, it means being excited about a Sunday at church!   Faith Baptist Church was organized in 1977, the year I graduated from high school. I rub keyboards and shoulders with people that do not have a church home. They are lonely. They have nobody to help them through bad times.... and nobody to enjoy  good times. I am so thankful for our church and the stand it has taken these past 35 years. I'm thankful for our people. The people that are there  when times are hard, and when times are good. 35 years of anything brings lots of change. I've been out of high school for 35 years. Gas was 63cents a gallon in 1977. We've had people come, people go. We have two *charter* members. They happen to be my father and mother in law. They've been here the whole 35 years. We got to honor them on Sunday. What a pity it ...

Women's Fellowship..........

We didn't have anybody to take our picture, except one of us, so Lois and I traded around. Does it look like we were having a good time, or WHAT?

Food and Fellowship With the Ladies

(we went to Ryan's to eat........) waiting waiting waiting yay, it's 9:00! enter into Hobby Lobby Catie looked fine, but she wanted to see what she looked like in *gold* We ate, we shopped, we had a good time. One thrift store had EVERYTHING for a quarter! Everything but prom dresses. As if any of us needed a prom dress. Games were 5cents each. It was FUN. Olivia's car bursted its radiator...............somebody said her car's water broke......it sure did. Husband had to come bring it home.......I don't drive cars that are running hot . At least not anymore. I did it once and I don't want to do it again.
