Rabbit Trails

Our 4th child graduates! We have had a big celebration for each one of them. We think it is cause to celebrate! We rent the community house way in advance, we order a cake the Monday before, and we look for nice outfits to wear for 3 months! We send out invitations and our friends and family come..........we eat cake, listen to Buddy Davis sing, hear messages on home-schooling and get all dressed up. Olivia *catered* it for us this year. We usually just have sandwiches ala Wal-Mart deli, but not so, this year! She did a great job on the food and decoration.......the lady she works for let her in her *catering* warehouse and gave Olivia permission to use anything she wanted! Daniel has for years, liked Titanic history, so we naturally decorated accordingly. (or tried to) I guess it's kind of hard to sum things up on a blog post........everything that has happened the past 18 years, the last month, the last week, now........last night! Well, here we are. I'm a big fan of boxes. I love boxes. They make my life easier. I don't care for square ice chests though. They can be like a chest freezer, and we all know what those are like.

we tried to make all the decorations look like the sea work + Sonic = lots done look what Lydia found! just some of Daniel's books (don't be concerned about the spelling demons workbook........the name I would change, but it is a wonderful spelling/phonics type book for older kids.....)

When I went outside my camera lens fogged up because it was so HUMID.......it made for pretty pictures.

I think my husband was ordering a hamburger and onion rings right here. He didn't get it.

The A-A-A verse is from Rod and Staff Unit O.......this is what we used to teach our kids how to read. Abhor that which is evil was the first thing they all learned the first few days of kindergarten. Later in Daniel's schooling, I turned to the back of a science book........we were going to go over the glossary words to see how well he had learned the book. I asked him to tell me what ABSORB meant. He said.......A-A-A, absorb that which is evil. He was quite a challenge to teach to say the least. Daniel and tomatoes. We don't eat them, we just play with them. I don't remember what we had in our mouths, but I KNOW it wasn't a tomato. A book by Brother Hammet Daniel did..... I'm usually not a fan of watery decorations, but this turned out pretty neat! (now we have 19 goldfish in a bowl waiting to be adopted)
