Rabbit Trails

I hope you all have a better day than my poor tomato plant will. It is surrounded by healthy mulch, it gets watered regularly, it gets lots of sun.......but it is still not growing. No fruit. Are you surrounded by good teaching, you are blessed in many ways and you get lots of love........but you're still not growing? Don't be like my tomato plant.........ungrateful and unmoved.

It looks to me like it DOES matter what is on the outside. It isn't just the heart. Why would we want to boast that it is the heart that matters anyway? Ask the Lord to search your heart, so your outside will be acceptable. Your works. What others see.

I have a garden we call the 24 Hour Garden. I have, for the past month, watched grass grow in this garden. At first the grass was soft and short. It could easily be pulled out. Time passed but I did NOT pull the grass. The ground dried up and the grass grew tall and then it was like pulling wires out of cement. My hands are sore and it was not a pleasant gardening day. I let things go. One of the worst things you can let happen in your garden is to let weeds go to seed. It's bad enough that the weeds are growing.......but to let them go to seed is MOST terrible. We let the weeds go to seed because it is easier than pulling them. We think that anyway, but it isn't the truth. If you take care when weeds are little, they will not go to seed. If you have a garden that looks this bad, people actually throw trash in it because they don't think you even care. It doesn't appear that you care, why should they? Neighbors drive by and see the weeds, but they are not lik...

This is the way the sky looked the whole time I was weeding my garden. It was NOT a good day to weed, but it had to be done. This is the way my garden looked before I started. I let things go way too long and then it was really hard to pull the grass and weeds. After you pull the grass and weeds, it doesn't really look a whole lot better. It leaves a bare ugly spot. When you pull weeds, you lose flowers. You have to sacrifice the beautiful because you let the ugly overtake..............
