My birthday

I got a few patterns............Lydia has a couple of those jackety sweaters to wear with sleeveless dresses............and I thought the pattern on the right would be good for jammies. I hate it when things roll out of a cabinet because they were unceremoniously chunked in there in a red onion............when this came rolling out the morning of my birthday, I thought it deserved a picture. A nice birthday surprise......... Drank coffee out of my favorite cup............when Kimberly bought it for me a while back, she was concerned that I wouldn't use it.  I'm concerned that I can't use it EVERY morning... Everybunny knew what I wanted for breakfast.  James went to Shipley's instead of asking me to walk two miles with him.  Happy Birthday to ME> For some reason, finding pink buttons is more fun than any other color. Kimberly took me to Top China.  I LOVE their buffet.  Their dessert is lame. Honestly, who wants pineapple and red jello for ...

Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday to you Lydia 14 years ago you were born. I am thankful that the Lord gave us such a child as you. Love you.

Happy Birthday

What month you were born dictates the kind of birthday celebration you have. Or don't have. I have two kids that were born very close to two big holidays. Christmas and Thanksgiving. Lydia asked me if she was getting a cake this year. It is hard to make a cake 2 days before Thanksgiving or 2 days after. It just is. You birthday might be in Autumn....and you got a new jacket every year.  Or, everybody had to rake leaves, and you got to watch cartoons! If you were born around Christmas, this is what your cake might have looked like. If you got one. Maybe you were born at the time of year when there was an event everybody went to. Like the Watermelon Festival.....or a quilt show......or the county fair. And, that's what you did every year.  Or maybe your birthday was around the same time your mom always made strawberry jam. And YOU got to go to town with her and get ice cream while she was picking up some extra jars. Did you ask for the same cake every year...
