the big Buc-ees

Olivia and I went to get something to drink and eat. I helped her eat her french-fries and I had a coffee. They really didn't go together, but that's what you have to do when you're out with somebody. Eat their stuff. That's my newest purse. Olivia bought it for me......uh, somewhere a week ago. She called and said I would really like it and that it was just $4.90, 90% the real price....I said, JUST GET IT! So, we had a nice time visiting at Buc-ees at one of their neat tables that causes you to dangle your feet. This was after we had already been to three thrift stores. We bought some books and some clothes at the first two, the third one was a waste of time.

jaunt with Olivia

We always hate to go to Sonic with one of our orders: 1 cherryslushlimeade with pineapple, make it a large...... . one Route44 cranberry limeade, with pineapple easy on the ice, one large strawberry slush, I mean limeade slush with pineapple, did I say large? and one regular cherry slush. is that a medium or a large? did I say easy ice? no, the first one is a slush and the next one isn't, but then the next one is. If I said easy ice, that means it's not a slush, if I say slush, then that means a slush. One of our favorite thrift stores had women's tops and skirts for 25cents each. I bought this pink and yellow top for Olivia but she said she wouldn't wear it until Spring. If it fit ME, I would wear it tomorrow. I got this pretty skrunchy blue and black skirt. Jolly really liked it I think.

day 5

primer our house still smells pretty bad my coffee even tasted like primer this morning I didn't need that. priming osb board hmmmmmmm, give me that thing..........

Olivia picking out a light.........

I picked out the humble little light for above the kitchen sink, so I let Olivia pick this one out. This one will go above the GREEN eating table. Yes, the box got wet on the way home. It rained and rained on us. James said everything would be fine. I didn't even look back. Everything was fine. Except the boxes.

day 3

at Lowe's we act as if there is no other place to buy stuff maybe there isn't? Olivia went with us to help me with paint. I think we did real good. Really well. Whatever. Tulip Shell for trim whitish color with a hint of pink Violet Evening for one cabinet (by the stove) lovely purple color Sunrise Beach for the walls happy yellow Aloe Essence for the cabinets ETC. GREAT green Clean White for the ceiling (we will put OSB board on the ceiling, it's the peanut brittle of wood) We bought wall board, a ceiling fan and light kit, a light for above the kitchen sink and a light for above the GREEN eating table. James also bought a microwave.......looks like it is a little fancy, so I will have to learn how to work it. I hope it isn't as hard as driving an airplane.

medicine

A merry heart doeth good like a medicine.........I don't remember what Olivia was laughing about, but she about fell off of the chair. Try to laugh off and on all day today. If the Bible says it's medicine, then it IS! Don't you feel better after a good laugh than you do a good pity party?

Surprise!!!

Olivia's surprise party went off without a hitch, unless you consider cold cucumber soup a hitch. Olivia thought her and I were going shopping. We eventually did, just not when she thought. Each of the church women made scrapbook page for Olivia.........it was interesting to see everybody's personality come out in the page they made. What a nice memory for her to have of the church ladies! It was a fun evening and very special. Thanks Heather and Kimberly!

yay

The table was beautiful............ Fun stuff! Heather and Kimberly had things very nice for all the women of our church to celebrate Olivia's 21st. birthday party! Did I say chocolate? the official menu: course I Light, chilled cucumber soup course II garden salad with a variety of vinaigrettes course III cheese filled manicotti served with fresh bread course IV creamy cheesecake, a dark chocolate truffle and fresh fruit
