Any time we do, we are not proving what is good and acceptable or perfect........for the will of God in our life. yipeeeee and cowabunga! I got all 5 of these today at my favorite thrift store! These are my very favorite bowls next to silver ones........ I have never seen one in a store, only at yard sales and thrift store. I don't know what they're called..........we call them afterbirth bowls. That's what the midwife put Caleb and other stuff in right after he was born.

11 years ago today, Lydia was born. It was overcast and not at all cool like it is going to be today! I went into labor around 6 in the morning and had her around 1:30. Her birthday falls around Thanksgiving every year. It is a challenge to celebrate it sometimes! Today it will be easy! We will go shopping on the 'funnest' shopping day of the year then eat pizza with Caleb and Heather tonight. Tomorrow we will have her birthday meal.........chicken spaghetti and brownies! Lydia has added much to our home.........she sees the little things. ......and loves the big! She eats noodles for lunch and has a cup of decaff every once in a while. We should have named her Cheeto! She does love horses...........this is Lady Nyla at Uncle Jeff's house. She had a part in naming her. Have a happy day, Lydia! We love you.

This is Jame's chair. It is almost as neat as mine. It gave me a thought this morning. Everybody knows what today is. Thanksgiving. It seems sometimes, that it doesn't do much for us. It might even give us more to whine about. Mainly about where we are going to SIT on Thanksgiving Day. if we have to go somewhere in the car, we complain that we never get to stay home if we stay home, we never get to go anywhere fun if we have to bake all the pies, we are abused if we don't get to bring any pies, nobody likes my baking if we have to do the turkey, we wonder why we have to do the hardest thing if we don't get to do the turkey, we wonder what we are going to do with the 23 pound bird taking up so much room in the freezer if we don't get invited somewhere, we pout all day if we get invited somewhere, we wonder why people can't just leave us alone for ONE holiday if we have to get up early to do the rolls, we wonder why we can't just sleep in ONE morning i

None of us like to think we're wrong, but we sometimes are. Even when we find out that we're wrong, we don't want to admit it, but we should. The Lord is concerned about little things........if something comes up today and you KNOW that you are going the wrong way, though it be small, don't do it. Go the right way. It is a series of bad decisions that make people depressed, go into debt, have relationship problems and other terrible things. We don't go to bed with our life all in order and wake up and it is in shambles. It happens slowly. Every decision we make today, makes our tomorrows. There are not going to be signs like this in our life to help us along the way.......even if there were, we would learn to ignore them. But, if you have the Spirit of the Lord within, and you have the Word hidden in your heart.......then you don't have to go the wrong way. Red and white signs, or not. Jelly Bellies.........and the screened shelter. Ours faced North. That way I was nervous all day thinking we were all going to be ice-sculptures when we woke up. It turned out NOT being windy. So we were safe. Cold, but safe.

This is my choice of camping snacks. I didn't open the sunflower seeds, I will save them when I do my gardens. I LOVE Craisins Trail Mix. Every bite is different. They don't make my favorite cookie anymore, so I buy these. Not pictured is the Caribou granola type bars. I was totally unimpressed with them. I'm going to go call them right now.
