which one?

You can only have ONE answer. Feel free to explain why you chose what you chose. If you could only have one meat for the rest of your life, which would it be? 1. beef 2. pork 3. seafood 4. chicken

more camping

My mom gave us this neat little hibachi....some state parks have nice bbq pits, some do not.  This place did not so I was glad we brought this.  We didn't do a lot of cooking on it.....it's very easy to run out of energy and just go to Pizza Inn. I don't *wear* my phone, I don't take it with me everywhere I go, I CAN live without it.....but it kind of jabbed me every time I saw ROAMING......it made me feel like a buffalo.  "Oh give me a hoooooome..." Dummy me......I was sending texts and people were replying, but I wasn't getting them. I hate dead zones.  Then on Friday afternoon, I turned my phone off, then back on.  I got 20 texts all at once.  It was pretty fun! It was fun to see different wildflowers all around the park.  Late May is a good time to be there! Sunrise, Sunset.  It was so fun to see the different colors in the morning and evening.  Because of where our house is situated here in town.....I see just the tops of sunrises

Jolly Kitty

We got Jolly when she was sort of a teen-ager. She wasn't full grown, and she wasn't a kitten. She hadn't even grown into her ears yet. *Thor* said we could get another inside cat. She was a birthday present to Olivia. Lydia spent the most time with her though. Jolly said and did lots of silly things, but she was always sorry. She never has figured out what we did with the old kitchen.... She was a very big part of our lives since she was  an inside cat. She really didn't hate other cats... she just didn't want them on her windowsill. So she chewed at their ears. She liked to play games. Climb high places.... and not come down. She was always looking outside. She wanted to catch a bird. Climb a tree. Run around the back yard. So we put her outside, and then she wanted back in. I told her she made her decision and couldn't change her mind. Most of the time

To Make a Short Story, Long

This is the before picture. The before I got sick, picture. I can't take the after one yet because I still don't feel all that great. I got sick on Father's Day. I thought it was just a headache. Well, it WAS a headache, that turned into what my mom called: Summer Complaint. I think it was the flu, but I'm not going to  squabble about what we should *name* how sick I've been. I had aches, pains, headache, fever,  cough, chills, fatigue, and nausea. I missed taking Kimberly and Karenanne to the airport for their trip back to PA. I missed a whole week of lots of things. I missed meals, sleep, going toodling, and church. I didn't laugh a whole lot this week. I hope I didn't complain much....even though I missed the first day of Summer. I was somewhere in the house, on the couch or in bed, with a horribibble pain somewhere. When you're sick, things look different. Things are heavier.

Camping Camping

We went to Sulphur Springs to get a few campy groceries. This is the courthouse in their town square. We enjoyed their Mayberry RFD small town type radio station the whole time we were there. We saw men working around this building on sidewalks..... seems like they had lots of trouble underground. We heard it on the radio. I bought three sticks of incense... the biggest ones I have seen in my life. I used the *sink* for the holder! We took a hike on Tuesday morning. It was five miles round trip. We walked a little over three. My husband could have done all of it, but I wore out quickly. I am horribly out of shape. Poison ivy, bridges, tree roots, pretty little flowers,  confusing signs. All part of a Texas State Park HIKE.

Part 1, Camping

We left early on Monday morning. Memorial Day. Our 30th wedding anniversary. This is the Buc-ees in Madisonville. It is massive. The place SWARMS with customers. We always stop............sometimes for coffee, a picture, sometimes for a gift. This is Sam's in Fairfield. It is a country style buffet. It is delicious, busy, clean, fun. If you're ever in the area, it's worth stopping. Plan ahead so you will be hungry. We got to Cooper Lake, Sulphur Springs side around 3? It was BAKING hot when we got there. The ranger? told us everybunny liked spot #7. We didn't. We took #20. I wish we would have known it was haunted. Here is my bird feeder. I thought this up all by myself. Too bad it didn't work. (Other pictures later.) It's always nice to try to attract birds when we camp. There were lots of cardinals and a few blue-jays. Nothing to write home about. We were really close to the
