Coonrod and his kin...........

Dancing Apron

Kimberly found this fabric yesterday at our favorite thrift store..........I made her an apron last night. It has been dubbed the 'Dancing Apron'.

My favorite things..........

I love twirl ribbon. I would decorate a room with it. But I won't. Does anyone else like twirl ribbon?

Gingerbread Tea

When it gets cold and stays cold for more than 45 minutes.........I'm going to open this box of tea.......... The recipe is in my grandma's handwriting. I don't remember her making Gingerbread men......but she must have.

Autumn on our driveway!

John and Sara got me this little person lady a few years back. She usually stands IN the house in the doorway. She USUALLY has a bunny in her little bucket. She's still outside. But she's NOT cold. So don't worry about her.

Norma Cookies

This is a 'keeper' recipe. Easy and tasty. Yum.

beautiful

I think it is SO neat how leaves change colors.

Winnie the Pooh Dress

I got this dress for Evelyn.........it is a CLASSIC! It will be too big for her when we go in March, but it will fit her some day. I remember when Sara was little and somebody gave me a pair of shoes that were too big for her. I don't think I kept them. I didn't think she would ever grow into them. Uh. Kids grow. but I didn't know...........

My new mulch bucket........

Daniel needed to put some miles on his truck so his computer would hopefully start working so he can get it inspected........so I had him take me to get some medicine......and to stop at Lowe's on the way home. I've been wanting a mulch bucket that had a lid that wouldn't cause a struggle when it had to be removed.....like the one I had. I had to put the egg-shells ON THE FLOOR OR SOMEWHERE ELSE, JUST to get the lid off..........and whatever else you add to mulch buckets.........JUST to get the lid off of the silly container. I'm hoping this will be the answer to my problems. I like to dump kitchen trash into my mulch pile in the back yard.........and stir it and add it to whatever I'm planting. (of course, after it bakes and breaks down for a bit..........I also like to add leaves) There is a man that rakes his leaves (that lives near us) and bags them up and puts them on the sidewalk.........they're always such nice leaves with no trash, so I watch out ...

Pictures of Autumn

I have a terrible time getting anywhere this time of year. I LOVE different colored leaves and I pick lots of them up......and press them in books........to save them.........for a hot summer day. Or even a warm winter day.........

a project

So we had this blank spot in the kitchen. I found a yellow frame with a matted thing? in it. The top left picture is Lydia running in Aunt Nancy's back yard.......when we were there because of hurricane Ike. The next picture is what I called the birdhouse chair. I hung my old enamel pans on it........it kind of crumbled, so we had to put it on the side of the road. I'm glad a I have a good picture to remember it by. The next is a food smile. We were at a church camp out eating breakfast. I'm sure I ate the do-nuts, but I don't remember eating an apple slice. Why would I do that? The little doll belongs to my sister. It is a really neat little doll. I don't know if she has a name. I LOVE radishes, and I love my tomato salt shaker. The picture with the blue chair was also my sister's stuff. Just still life. A chair, a plant, a clock. The bottom left makes me smile.........I love that picture.........just like the bottom middle. I LOVE to see dark blue Aut...

Old Things

I LOVE old 'diner' type dishes. sniff sniff I found this hat in the 'cold weather' box yesterday. My girls wore this. Now all of their heads are too big. Wait, let me re-word that. Now I don't have any really little girls. sniff sniff ice crusher in turquoise bread box in green and off white old stove piece in white diner dishes in green, blue and maroon (gummi bear in orange) yellow walls

snow #1

This is where I have giant sunflowers coming up. I do hope that they weren't discouraged last night. They were about 3" high. The old Spider Tree covered in yard art......and snow. !! Aloe vera, mint, cilantro and some sort of orange flowers grow here.

snow #2

A wagon with bricks means that I am in the middle of a project. This is where most of my garden frogs hang out. I imagine they were wondering what was going on last night....... Giant snowflake........ Summer stuff that is very cold.
