a sunrise

This was around 6:30 A.M. at the high school here in town.........we live in a neighborhood full of trees and wires and never get to see really good sunrises and sunsets. Be glad if you get to........that's what I suggest. Be glad if you live in a place where you can plainly see the sun a coming up and a going down. Not everybody can.

new outfit

We have had this skirt forever.......it has been a really hard skirt to find a top for.....you know the kind........you get a skirt and look at it for 7 years and wish you had a top to go with it type skirt......... so I made one for it..........I have found that I can do this particular pattern......... I used to be afraid to do elastic around the neck.....but it isn't so bad. Now I can do it with my eyes closed, but I doubt I ever need to.......so I won't.

my tools

I needed the loppers to trim ash trees out of the crepe myrtle trees the silver handled *whatever* to put spearmint plants in the can with the red top had jalapeno sumflower seeds in it one large refill cup of water........it was terribly hot out today.......Olivia fixed it up for me! one Sprite from McDonalds........Olivia got it for me......I love McDonald's Sprite one drink from McDonalds nobody wanted my black trowel with the orange tip.........I love this trowel.....it has done lots for me a freezer cup with pop in it..........Olivia fixed it up for me a HUGE black dustpan.......I used it to sweep up dirt and blue-bonnet seeds from the Spider Tree garden I threw the dirt and seeds into the yard.......I am going to let blue-bonnets grow in the yard next year, but we will mow them down before they die and get all ugly weed killer.....it works in 24 hours.......it's the only chemical I use in my gardens my little snippers........(red handles) I gave all of my bulb plants a b...

neato cabinet

Is this neat, or what? It was in a church.......maybe to put Sunday School material in? Perfect for that........but I'd like to have one, too. And just think, nobody could lay anything on top of it........you know, the law of the flat surface.......... it would be fun to fill this up. doilies? bread sacks? quilts? old lids? cat food? SHOES?

N.P.R.

kim: mom, what's npr? (as she looks at the grocery list) mom: nail polish remover dad: national public radio kim: we HAVE some remover in a little container....... mom: I want my own, that I can put in my own bathroom and that nobody will come and take and use and I'll never see again dad: they don't sell that kind

Ocean Days are Here Again!!!

this gull was waiting for us to drop a cookie or something Kim likes orange. Could you tell? I make the girls keep their flip-flops on because of broken glass.

to the beach?

Lydia pulled my old green floppy hat out of the back of the van, just like it was hers. I brought her red one, but she didn't even see it. I guess she liked mine, better. I can see how. It is a NEAT floppy hat.

to the big water

Have you ever noticed that different places of the country refer to the big water, differently? In New Jersey, you go to the shore. Down here, we go to the beach. In Oregon, you go to the coast. I have proof of all of this if anybody wants it.

yay!

Do you see what I see? Free Guacamole in October! That is, if a hurricane doesn't blow them off of the tree. Or blow the tree away.

Women's Fellowship..........

We didn't have anybody to take our picture, except one of us, so Lois and I traded around. Does it look like we were having a good time, or WHAT?

Food and Fellowship With the Ladies

have you ever seen such a delightful donut? just like a flower........ that plain old piece of toast was the best piece of plain old toast I have ever had.... (we went to Ryan's to eat........) waiting waiting waiting yay, it's 9:00! enter into Hobby Lobby Catie looked fine, but she wanted to see what she looked like in *gold* We ate, we shopped, we had a good time. One thrift store had EVERYTHING for a quarter! Everything but prom dresses. As if any of us needed a prom dress. Games were 5cents each. It was FUN. Olivia's car bursted its radiator...............somebody said her car's water broke......it sure did. Husband had to come bring it home.......I don't drive cars that are running hot . At least not anymore. I did it once and I don't want to do it again.

a post from Lydia

This is me (of course!!) with an adaroblely cute baby.... This was taken on the Friday of the Church Camp-out. She loves people to hold her! She goes pretty much to anybody who puts their arms out to her. I LOVE holding babies! :D This is a horse site that I look at EVERY day! They have some of the most BEUATIFUL horses I've ever seen! I've been watching the horses they put up for sale for almost two years! They've gone through quite a few horses! I've written them a few letters...... They have answered ALLLLL the letters I've written them. Here is the address to their site... www.flyingwfarms.com Of course I've never been able to buy one of their horses, but I sure would like too! We are going camping in about five-six weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THAT'S NOT THAT FAR AWAY!! (or at least not really!) I'm REALLLY exited! We are going to Kansas for about one week, then to Palo Duro Canyon in Texas... They have horse rides on trails in the evening I believe! Y...
