Autumnal Gardens

I planted some radish seeds........this wire is to keep our cats and neighborhood cats from using my lovely little gardens as a litter box.  It is working quite well.  Too bad I haven't applied FENCE in the past years. These flamingos are a present from my sister in Kansas.  I was thrilled.  I've done lots of yard art....but never had the USUAL thing everybunny expects. Then look at what popped up yesterday! I can water every single day with the hose and these never pop up.  If it rains, they will come out of the ground just a blooming.  I do not understand that. When I put the flamingo here, the flower was still fixing to pop and surprise. The radish plants are growing nicely.......they are usually a good seed for little kids to grow. There is nothing better than a radish out of your own garden.

East Texas

This is not mustard. It is butter. It was in East Texas. They put BUTTER in their hot sauce. Have you ever heard of such a thing? (it wasn't too bad)

Kansas trip

This is the Aunt that took me to Kansas.......we had loads of fun coming and going.  It is a good time we have getting to know each other better...........we are family and friend to each other. Nobody can grow Hen and Chicks like my mom can.  She doesn't grow so many things now like she used to.  Everything is heavy for her now..........it is nice to have a mom that likes flowers and plants. Last year my sister and I tried to visit the *house* where we used to live as very young children.  It is the first house I can remember living in........I guess I was 7 something when we moved to Colorado.  Well, my sister didn't get to see the house this time, but my mother, my aunt and I did.  The owner of the house was extremely gracious about everything.  She let my mom look over the records/papers from when the house was built to when she bought it.  My parents were renting to buy the house, but  it didn't work out.....The tile you see above...

sorrowing

All the troubles, afflictions, and sorrows of this life, in comparison with eternal happiness and blessedness, are to be considered as nothing.  They are but as the point of a pin compared to the starry heavens.   Thomas Brooks

Bring Back the Springtime

When in the spring, the flowers are blooming bright and fair, After the grey of winter's gone. Once again the lark begins his tuning, Back in the meadows of my heart. Chorus Lord, to my heart bring back the springtime. Take away the cold and dark of sin. And, Oh refill me now, sweet Holy Spirit: May I warm and tender be again. Lord, make me like that stream that flows so cool and clear Down from the mountains high above; I will tell the world the wondrous story Of the precious stream filled with your Love. Chorus Lord, to my heart bring back the springtime. Take away the cold and dark of sin. And, Oh refill me now, sweet Holy Spirit: May I warm and tender be again. (moss rose from my mom's flower bed)

I'm Back

I'm back from my Kansas trip. I love visiting my family and seeing old friends. I love my life and my home, so I'm always glad to come back.  Wouldn't it be terrible to take a trip and nobody cared that you were gone and nobody cared if you ever came back?

Only Luke is with me.  Take ________,  and bring him with thee,  for he is profitable to me for the ministry. Would your name fit in the blank? Could your name fit in the blank?

Going To Kansas

I'll be gone for a couple of weeks.  I get to go to Kansas to see my parents and sister. That's the most important thing...............but there are many other things to see. Right in my dad's front yard. There is so much wind, you just GOTTA hang something on the line. We will talk about old times.......(this is my Great Grandmother....if you notice, her windowsills are filled up, just like mine) I will take fun pictures. I will hint around until my mom gives me her old pillowcases..... I will have fun being with my Aunt. And my sister.  She likes to shop. I know now to avoid the chickens in my sister's back yard.  They will chase and peck at you. I will enjoy the scenery from my sister's porch. I will see things in Kansas that I would never see in Texas. My parents don't just have a porch swing.  They have a yellow porch swing hanging from a black walnut tree. More fun pictures. I will wish I could see all of my cousin...
