East Texas

This is not mustard.
It is butter.
It was in East Texas.
They put BUTTER in their hot sauce.
Have you ever heard of such a thing?
(it wasn't too bad)

I am IN east tx and not heard of that before. As a matter of fact I've lived all over this great state and not seen that. I've seen people butter their tortilla chips but not their salsa. I think it might be pretty good. Probably add a richness... butter does have that quality about it. :D

I have never heard of such a thing. Also what you call hot sauce I call salsa ... are both correct? I've never heard of that, either!

You learn something new every day. :)

I think hot sauce is smooth, salsa has chunks of onion, pepper, tomato. If I make it myself, no matter how it turns out, we call it hot sauce.

Apparently if you mix hot sauce with butter, you get buffalo sauce. My husband has been recently researching it ;)
