HAPPY BIRTHDAY LYDIA

12 years ago Lydia was born on this day........... she has been a joy to our home I am so glad she is ours. She is on a three day birthday celebration! Friday she got to go shopping and we ate at Ryan's. Saturday we had her birthday meal and she got to go to a parade and ride on some rides with our church friends. Today, we will eat out for lunch and have some kind of cake? tonight.......... Sometimes it just happens like that. It takes three days to work things out! (and yes, this is all upsidedown........it would have been much more impressive had this been on the bottom of Lydia being ELEVEN)

friends

friends are wonderful things they can be all different shapes and sizes very different and you can still love them (what if we were all the same?) isn't it fun when you have a friend that likes the same things you do? when our friends like the same things we do, it is even more fun when they apply their own 'twist' (lace on an apron?) well, I like aprons, but I don't want one with lace. but I'll make you one with lace if that's what you want. I have lots of friends and I'm very thankful for them. I have all different kinds of friends. I have a friend that helps me sew. I have a friend that encourages me to do better. I have a friend that I can call and tell her I don't have time to talk! I have a friend that gives me OLD things for gifts. Can you believe it? He who has 1,000 friends has none to spare. I just keep thinking of three ladies standing together visiting when I see this picture. These three particular ladies are VERY domestic. windowsill di...

Good Morning Monday

I have a ton of things to do today. And it looks like rain. Our cool front is slowly leaving us. One will be back close to the weekend. I need to call a dentist, need to do Lydia's school, laundry, pull a few weeds? call CVS to see if our pictures are in and drink some coffee. Just normal things. Hope you all have a good day. As you see, my blog now has music. If you don't enjoy it, just turn it off, or click on another song. It won't hurt my feelings a bit. I won't even know it.

4 Years ago again...........

Lydia savoring a cup of something hot. It must have been cold in the house. It happens sometimes. It gets cold. I've been looking through our pictures today for Autumn and Winter pictures. We don't have any yet for this year.......so I have to go back a few years to get chilly pictures. sniff sniff wasn't the orange eating table beautiful?

I voted.

Oh yes, I voted alrighty. Texas was going to to with McCain anyway, so did I just waste my time? It was just ONE vote after all. Does one vote really change anything? I guess it really didn't take that much time to vote. I didn't even stand in line. And I got a nice little sticker. I'm going to tell you two things that I have had thoughts on................ 1. We ought to send missionaries to the swing states.........Iowa? Pennsylvania? Good Independent Baptist Missionaries to these places, so they can straighten things out. See people led to the Lord so they will know how to vote. Then those states will go conservative. Romans 3:15 Their feet are swift to shed blood: 16 Destruction and misery are in their ways: 17 And the way of peace have they not known: 2. When I get political phone calls asking for money, I tell them that we are doing all we can to make conservatives out of the people we meet. For the most part, if somebody is a Christian, they don't tend ...

just maybe..............

just maybe.......somebody out there needs to see a sweet bunny picture..... a soft rabbit with pink and white ears coming out of a beautiful tea-cozy........ or the same rabbit looking UP........ or how about a bunny all dressed up in purple........from the bow on its head to the slippers? when Lydia chose a bunny to play with, this was usually the one.......... There. I hope you feel better now. You know who you are.........
