friends

friends are wonderful things

they can be all different shapes and sizes
very different
and you can still love them
(what if we were all the same?)

isn't it fun when you have a friend that likes the same things you do?
when our friends like the same things we do, it is even more fun when they apply their own 'twist'
(lace on an apron?)
well, I like aprons, but I don't want one with lace.
but I'll make you one with lace if that's what you want.

I have lots of friends and I'm very thankful for them.
I have all different kinds of friends.

I have a friend that helps me sew.
I have a friend that encourages me to do better.
I have a friend that I can call and tell her I don't have time to talk!

I have a friend that gives me OLD things for gifts. Can you believe it?

He who has 1,000 friends has none to spare.

I just keep thinking of three ladies standing together visiting when I see this picture.
These three particular ladies are VERY domestic.

dish soap
aprons.

ha ha ha
I got all of you.
I'm putting everyone's name in a hat, and the one I pick has to do dishes here for a week.

Don't Be Idle

This is Zephyr. She is the most discontent, unhappy cat I've ever seen in my life. She is selfish plain and simple. All she can think about is HER belly. This is not done in silence. When I get up (early), she's been up for hours wasting away. She's died of starvation 8 times. Don't be like Zephyr. The Rare Jewel of Christian Contentment by Jeremiah Burroughs   "Who are the men who are most discontented?  but idle persons-- for they lie around and find fault with everything."   (page 50-51) Zephyr is an unhappy cat. Not a happy camper.   How about you? IDLE lazy, slothful, work-shy (ha ha) shiftless, inactive, sluggish (like a bad drain) without purpose DISCONTENT dissatisfaction with circumstances displeasure Have you no weeds to pull? No list to make or finish? No bread to bake? Nothing to mend or fix? No corner to clean? Nothing to learn? No letter to write? No project to fin...
