page 92, Charity and its Fruits, Jonathan Edwards

Do you think the injuries you have received from your fellow-man
are more than you have offered to God?
Has your enemy been more base,
more unreasonable, more ungrateful, than you have to the High and Holy One?
Have his offences been more heinous or aggravated,
or more in number, than yours has been against your Creator, Benefactor, and Redeemer?
Have they been more provoking and exasperating
than your sinful conduct has been to him who is the author of all our mercies,
and to whom you are under the highest obligations?

Sadly (if I read that right), I'd have to answer "no". Really makes me think!

Made me think, too. No enemy could do more than we have done ourselves to a Holy God.

My Favorite Child

I wish I had all the pictures I wanted, to go with this blog post........because I know a *picture paints a thousand words*, but for a large part of our family's life, old fashion cameras and old fashion pictures were being used.  So, many of the pictures that would help paint this post are somewhere in boxes and books.  It would take a month of Sundays to find them all so  I will just have to count on your imagination and my memory! Snoopy

I have loved Snoopy and Charlie Brown since I can remember.      I don't know how.....but it just seems like a few words from Snoopy, says a LOT.       It's always nice to have a friend. Woodstock and Snoopy are friends. Do you have a friend like this? I do.      My dad always used to say: "You can do it Charlie Brown."   That is the way he encouraged my sister and I.     If I had a t-shirt with this on it, I bet I would be as happy as a room without a roof.    Hmmmmm. Not a bad thought. Just let things go. Right?    This actually isn't true. Seems like Snoopy does what he wants.    I love Snoopy on ice. When I was growing up, I had winter hats like this......wish I still had one. Then it would just be in the closet. Unused.   So, I guess I'm ok.        Can't say I always succeed at this on
