Foam Rollers

I loved having girls.
All four of our girls had wonderful hair.
I braided, rolled, pony-tailed,
curled, used barrettes, flowers,
hot rollers, curling irons, clips,
topsy curl, bobby pins....
and maybe some other things I don't recall....
in their hair.
I loved every minute of it.
As soon as Sara's hair was long enough to
do something with....
I DID.
I'm still at it almost 30 years later.
Thankfully,
there are still heads of hair that I can fix.
Little girls at church,
grand-daughters,
and the two heads left at home.
*sigh*
Can *YOU*
sleep in foam rollers?

Your blog looks so cheery and pretty!

No, I can't sleep in foam rollers, but Lydia sure looks cute with curly hair. :)

I'll bet I can sleep in foam rollers. It's been a L-O-N-G time since I tried though...

My mom loved the foam rollers; I thought they were torture. LOL! My DD on the other hand loves them. She loves, loves having her hair curly.... or any other girly, frilly hair-do! I'm happy to oblige. :)

My Favorite Child

I wish I had all the pictures I wanted, to go with this blog post........because I know a *picture paints a thousand words*, but for a large part of our family's life, old fashion cameras and old fashion pictures were being used.  So, many of the pictures that would help paint this post are somewhere in boxes and books.  It would take a month of Sundays to find them all so  I will just have to count on your imagination and my memory! FAVORITE: most liked, preferred above all others Sara, you were my favorite.  You were our first baby and we were so excited for you.  Your hair was perfect for me to learn how to braid and you always were very still for me.  You were the first little girl I got to dress up and put lacy socks on.  You were such a fun little girl to read to.  You memorized the books we had and it was a big part of our day to read with each other.  *where is the bear when the wind blows cold?*.    You have alw...
