Let's Sing

 Ephesians 5:19
Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs,
singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord.

 I love hymns.  They're my favorite kind of music.  I just bought a tape for a dime and it has hymn medleys....that's my very favorite. Three or four songs all blended into one.

 When all around my soul gives way,
He then is all my hope and stay!

 Near the cross! O Lamb of God, Bring its scenes before me;
Help me walk from day to day,
With its shadows o'er me.

 He took my sins and my sorrows,
He made them His very own;
He bore the burden to Calv'ry,
And suffered, and died alone.

 Come, we that love the Lord,
And let our joys be known;
Join in a song with sweet accord,
Join in a song with sweet accord,
And thus surround the throne,
And thus surround the throne.

 Frail children of dust, and feeble as frail,
In Thee do we trust, nor find Thee to fail;
Thy mercies how tender! how firm to the end!
Our Maker, Defender, Redeemer, and Friend.

 Be not dismayed, whate'er betide,
God will take care of you;
Beneath his wings of love abide,
God will take care of you.

How beautiful to walk in the steps of the Savior,
Stepping in the light,
Stepping in the light;
How beautiful to walk in the steps of the Savior,
Led in paths of light.

Colossians 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms, and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

Well, I hope you're humming or singing!!

Peace, peace, wonderful peace,
Coming down from the Father above.
Sweep over my spirit forever, I pray,
In fathomless billows of love.

♫A Wonderful Savior is Jesus My Lord,
A wonderful Savior to me,
He hideth my soul in the cleft of the Rock,
Where rivers I pleasure I see.

He hideth my soul in the cleft of the rock,
That shadows a dry, thirsty land;
He hideth my life in the depths of his love,
and covers me there with His hand,
and covers me there with His hand.

There's withim my heart a melody,
Jesus whispers sweet and low,
"Fear not, I am with thee, peace be still,"
In all of life's ebb and flow.

Jesus, Jesus, Jesus---
Sweetest name I know,
Fills my every longing,
Keeps me singing as I goooooooo.

I wish I had all the pictures I wanted, to go with this blog post........because I know a *picture paints a thousand words*, but for a large part of our family's life, old fashion cameras and old fashion pictures were being used.  So, many of the pictures that would help paint this post are somewhere in boxes and books.  It would take a month of Sundays to find them all so  I will just have to count on your imagination and my memory!
