A June Day

I started off with desicoffee. REAL cream and the turbinado? sugar. and coffee. I could drink it all day.

I listen to tapes while I work in the front yard. The cord won't reach to the back. I'm one of those people that buy old cassette tapes in thrift stores and actually listen to them. This little machine should play cd's, but it won't. So, it was Chuck Swindoll or tapes.....

I had to deal with this all by myself. Nobody was around for me to run to and cry to. I opened the top drawer in this old desk we have in the garage.....and a HUGE possum was in there. It never moved (wellwhaddyaexpect?) but it was alive. I didn't shut the drawer right away. I had to wait for the guts to do so. Later, I was going to ask somebody to get something out of the top drawer.....for me........hee hee.......but decided against it. It may have ruined somebody's perfectly nice June Day. I guess it found a nice home. I'm thinking thinking thinking how to get it out and keep it out. Any ideas?

Don't stress over the possum. He eats spiders & snakes. ;)

I listen to old tapes from the thrift store, too! Kindred spirits.

I wish I had all the pictures I wanted, to go with this blog post........because I know a *picture paints a thousand words*, but for a large part of our family's life, old fashion cameras and old fashion pictures were being used.  So, many of the pictures that would help paint this post are somewhere in boxes and books.  It would take a month of Sundays to find them all so  I will just have to count on your imagination and my memory! FAVORITE: most liked, preferred above all others Sara, you were my favorite.  You were our first baby and we were so excited for you.  Your hair was perfect for me to learn how to braid and you always were very still for me.  You were the first little girl I got to dress up and put lacy socks on.  You were such a fun little girl to read to.  You memorized the books we had and it was a big part of our day to read with each other.  *where is the bear when the wind blows cold?*.    You have alw...
