Rabbit Trails

We are leaving tomorrow to go on a two week vacation.........we will visit my sister, my parents, go to a PIG roast and zoos. We're going to pack today......I'm used to filling up an 8 passenger van. We usually had room for the kitchen sink! I think I will go buy some cream to put in my coffee and eat the brownie Olivia bought me last night.......THEN I'll pack.

A merry heart doeth good like a medicine.........I don't remember what Olivia was laughing about, but she about fell off of the chair. Try to laugh off and on all day today. If the Bible says it's medicine, then it IS! Don't you feel better after a good laugh than you do a good pity party?

Here you see is what I need to do yard work. Olivia bought me stuff to drink the whole time.......if it hadn't been so hot out that day, I would have been sloshing. I love my loppers except for the fact that the spring is gone so that means they just flop.......after I lop. The oversized silver drinking cup is fun to use for a watering pitcher. Because of what it is made from, it never rusts. It's a fun outside toy. See the can with the red lid........I like to eat sunflower seeds when I do yard work. I can't eat them in the house.......so I have to do yard work once in a while so I CAN eat them. See the trowel with the orange tip? I get attached to trowels........and vans. I have a roofing shovel to get grass out of cracks, a super size dust pan and a pitiful rake. I also have one three dollar spray bottle of weed and grass killer. Sorry all of my green organic friends.......I have to use something on the unwanted guests in my gardens. This is the only chemica...

Remember not to pout. I can't think of a time it got me anywhere in a positive way. If you pout and then get what you wanted, it often times is bitter. Victory is sweet, but not if it comes by pouting. So put on a happy face today, and don't POUT. I know I've posted this picture before..........but it's such a GOOD one!

I hope you all have a better day than my poor tomato plant will. It is surrounded by healthy mulch, it gets watered regularly, it gets lots of sun.......but it is still not growing. No fruit. Are you surrounded by good teaching, you are blessed in many ways and you get lots of love........but you're still not growing? Don't be like my tomato plant.........ungrateful and unmoved.

This was the first thing we did on our anniversary trip. Day one, zoo. Day two, book stores. Day three, Huntsville State Park. Day four, book fair.

I think I'm getting old. This is my new enemy. But if you don't go down these stairs, you might miss the lion taking a swim or something.

this was the dessert.........the top is sweet potato pecan pie, with a couple blueberries and a strawberry....... it took me 4 days to eat this cake............it's just a plain old chocolate cake.......it was kind of tall.
