One of My Favorite Recipes.....it's EASY

English Muffin Bread

5 cups flour/divided
2 pkg yeast (1/4 oz each)
1 tablespoon sugar
2 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
2 cups warm milk
1/2 cup warm water
cornmeal

combine 2 cups flour...yeast...sugar...salt....baking soda

add warm milk and water

beat on low speed for 30 seconds

scrape bowl occasionally

beat on high for 3 minutes

stir in remaining flour

batter will be stiff

DO NOT KNEAD
if you knead this, it will be shiny instead of rough
grease two loaf pans

sprinkle the inside of pans with cornmeal

spoon batter evenly into the two pans

sprinkle cornmeal on top

cover and let rise until doubled.......about 45 minutes?
(I heat up a cup of water in the microwave.....take it out really fast...close the door and put the pans in there for the needed warmth to rise)

bake at 375 for about 35 minutes

the bread should be golden brown

THIS BREAD IS YUMMY TOASTED
