Boy Scouts

"They caved" was a comment on a Facebook link.  Why don't the gays just leave the Scouts alone?  Well, they're not going to.  This is even more proof that they aren't just a bunch of guys (or whatever they are)  just minding their own business and living their own lives.  They have an agenda and they will get in your face, they will disrupt things and they will wreak havoc.  This group of people don't just want their way, they want to have parades, special privileges, rights, acknowledgment,  minority status, weddings, church membership, adoption rights.....and they want us to be tolerant.

Before all of this started, parents should have been very careful about the activities their children were involved in.  Parents should have been monitoring the leaders, the hikes, the camp-outs, the programs. We should be on high alert in general when our kids are involved.  They need direction and security.  Wicked people are all around us.  They look like us, they dress like us, they talk like us.  Wicked people are not  going to have on a black trench coat with scars on their face and a broken beer bottle in their hand. But NOW, a new element has been added.  Gays will have freedom where they didn't before.  It won't be *Don't Ask, Don't Tell*, it will be TELL TELL TELL.

Sadly, enough corrupt people that are in power, can vote for moral decay.  And get their way.  Scout leaders are not the only ones *caving*.  We feed the lazy, medicate our children for the slightest thing, slap hands for DWI, kill babies in and out of the womb, protect eagles, engineer cover ups, plead the 5th and get paid administrative leave, practice socialistic government and don't pay our library fines.

I'm saddened by all of it, but not surprised.  Why should I think people are going to lean towards the good, when I know what the Bible says about our hearts?  Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

Here lately, the national news has given us LOTS to ponder. Scandal.  Why is all of this happening?  Is Obama responsible for this? The liberal Democrats? The sleeping Republicans?

This quote is not from the Bible, but it speaks to my heart: "What Are You Doing To Make Things Better?"

We are watching things change, and not for the better.

Isaiah 5:20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

Well, I have Truth from the Bible that can set a man free.

John 5:39  Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

2nd Corinthians 5:17  Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; beholdall things are become new.

People can change.  They can get a new mind and heart about the issues at hand.  People that live in darkness can see great light.
Am *I* doing what I can?  Am I praying for those in authority?  Those that vote?  For those that yay or nay something, and now it is law?
Am I sharing with the lost how they can be saved?  How their life can change? How they can turn from the left, and go right?  Am I *going* to the lost and telling them what they need to hear?

Or do I just holler at the TV?
Wish people out of office?
Buy a bumper sticker?

(If I am part of those that have the answer, and I am part of those that don't say anything, I am MOST of the problem.)

IF you have the truth, IF you know what the problem is, are you sharing with just ONE person in your life?  If you don't get to speak to the President himself about these things, don't worry.  Others need to hear it, too.

There is good news ........ even though an organization that has helped many boys is being attacked and FAIL is in the minds of those that love the Scouts........

The true church will never fail.  It will be attacked but never driven from the face of the earth.  We DO have that promise and comfort.

Matthew 16:18  And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

So right you are! May God have mercy on me and enable me to shake off any and all complacency...seek His face...boldly speak and do His will.

Thank God for His promises and the assurance that "Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world"!
