Why No Blog Posts?

Why haven't I been blogging?  It isn't a shortage of things going on.  Or beautiful sunrises.  It isn't a shortage of beautiful blue skies....

Or new windows....

Or new purple shoes.....

Or dandelions in the front yard.

Bunny and Sheba will always be available  for a good *pet* picture.....

Alisa will be around to do dishes in her cheetah gown for Grandmother.....

I have plenty of little friends and big friends to write about....

We're still playing games with family and friends.....

I'm still eating donuts!

SEE.  Bunny and Sheba prove that little and big can get along!

I'm still doing crafty things...........

Yesiree!  Things are always hopping around here......I just am not blogging about it.

Blogging is like a KING size *Show and Tell* opportunity.  Bloggers can share their good times, recipes, sunrises, flowers, gifts, knowledge, hymns, crafts, verses, aprons, breakfast, poems, books, holidays, landscapes, still life, shoes, gardens, pets, friends, family, humor, blessings, deals, outings, general information and they can even stand on their soap-box to rant and rave about something they are passionate about.

A blog is who you are.  If your head tends to be full of poems, you will post poems!  If your mind is full of quilts, you will post quilts.  If you love to garden........then flowers will abound!  If you love to sing hymns, then you will post hymn lyrics.  I don't tend to LOVE to cook, but I will post a recipe once in a while.  Blogging is a wonderful opportunity to share good things in hopes to inspire others, make them smile, make them think....and maybe even cause them to change.

Looking at blogs and writing blog posts can inspire you to make nicer meals.....even though the plate of food might get cold while you're taking pictures.....you STILL made an effort to please somebunny.  Blogging has helped me to see beauty in still life, pets on the rug together....upsidedown poppies!

Blogging is different than facebook.......where a short sentence will suffice.  Blogging takes a bit thought and time.  I'm capable of both..........just right now, I am enjoying the *quickness* of facebook.

Facebook has changed my thoughts about blogging........my blogger audience is smaller than my facebook friend list.........SO, if I want to make a splash with one of my irises blooming in January, I will probably post the picture on facebook with my phone.  *there*, it's DONE.  I've referred to the millions of Rabbit Trail followers........hopefully, the few that read my blog knew it just wasn't so.

I like facebook........as anything else, it can be used for good or bad.  It is part of my world now.  Just this morning I saw pictures from Africa.....our missionary friends are celebrating their daughter's 16 birthday! I have just recently been blessed by an engagement and wedding of a young couple that I am so excited for.....and I'm watching another....just the same....take place in Mexico.  I  see what my friends in New Jersey are doing.....and stay in touch with my Bosom Buddy in Alaska. I visit with those that I went to grade school with....and collage.

I pass over the bad........and look for the good and uplifting.

This witty invention, the internet, has given me many friends.  Bloggy friends and Forum friends have turned into FACEBOOK friends.  You know who you are!  I enjoy all of you.

I also enjoy blogging........who knows what I will do tomorrow?

My Favorite Child

I wish I had all the pictures I wanted, to go with this blog post........because I know a *picture paints a thousand words*, but for a large part of our family's life, old fashion cameras and old fashion pictures were being used.  So, many of the pictures that would help paint this post are somewhere in boxes and books.  It would take a month of Sundays to find them all so  I will just have to count on your imagination and my memory! FAVORITE: most liked, preferred above all others Sara, you were my favorite.  You were our first baby and we were so excited for you.  Your hair was perfect for me to learn how to braid and you always were very still for me.  You were the first little girl I got to dress up and put lacy socks on.  You were such a fun little girl to read to.  You memorized the books we had and it was a big part of our day to read with each other.  *where is the bear when the wind blows cold?*.    You have alw...
