Good Morning

I use my phone for my alarm every morning.  I have it set to "Good Morning"....it's an irritating little song......almost condescending.  When it went off this morning,I knew it was NOT going to be  a good morning. I didn't feel any better than I had the past few mornings.

About six months? ago I had a tooth break.....only a few small pieces....but when you're talking about a tooth, it doesn't take much to cause a problem.  I knew sooner or later it was going to cause trouble.  Well.  It did.

I should have gone to the dentist last Thursday.  It was a LONG weekend waiting for some medicine.  I went Monday, got some antibiotics and a pain killer. Doc gave me a pain killer they used a long time ago because I can't seem to tolerate the *new* kinds.  It didn't work either.  Just made me sick.  The antibiotic isn't making me feel so great either.  Abscess is such an ugly word........

I have been in bed, on the couch, then back to bed........and just shuffling around in pain. I've watched a lot of *Leave It To Beaver* shows......  I have been wishing the tooth could just be pulled, but I know it can't be with an infection.  I'm not afraid of dentists and I'm not afraid to have a tooth pulled.  I'm more afraid if I do NOT have it pulled......

I have been crocheting rugs.  It is what I call a *mindless* craft.  It takes no thought to cut strips, to tie them, or to wind them into a ball.  It takes no thought to crochet either.  I've made almost five rugs since I got sick.  I am thankful for the diversion.

I will be glad when I can go outside and pull weeds.  My gardens are screaming for attention.  As you know, when you're sick, everything is hard.  The sun is hotter.  Sounds are louder.  Nausea colors everything.  I have not had a good 5 or 6 days.  I think this is the first time for YEARS and YEARS that I've missed not buying groceries on the day I should have.  I haven't cared too much what anybunny has been eating either.  Sorry, but it's the truth.

I know it would be hard to live with some sort of chronic pain or illness.  Just one week is enough for me.  I'm done ALREADY!  Pain is not pleasant.  Being sick is no fun.  From the looks of things, we should just expect it.  One day it will all be over.  But we're not there, yet.

Oh no! Sorry you are not feeling well! Can you take anti-nausea meds to combat the antibiotics?

Today at the dentist after they cleaned my teeth and said I had two cavities... I was set up with an oral surgeon to have a tooth pulled.. I'm not in pain thank goodness... When I went to him with the tooth hurting 3 years ago I would have been glad to have had it pulled then. I hope you feel better very soon!!!!!

Oh you poor Mrs. Mobunny.....I hope you're feeling better soon. You are right, chronic pain is HARD. And it's especially hard when you can't take care of your family the way you want to either.

My Favorite Child

I wish I had all the pictures I wanted, to go with this blog post........because I know a *picture paints a thousand words*, but for a large part of our family's life, old fashion cameras and old fashion pictures were being used.  So, many of the pictures that would help paint this post are somewhere in boxes and books.  It would take a month of Sundays to find them all so  I will just have to count on your imagination and my memory! FAVORITE: most liked, preferred above all others Sara, you were my favorite.  You were our first baby and we were so excited for you.  Your hair was perfect for me to learn how to braid and you always were very still for me.  You were the first little girl I got to dress up and put lacy socks on.  You were such a fun little girl to read to.  You memorized the books we had and it was a big part of our day to read with each other.  *where is the bear when the wind blows cold?*.    You have always been interested in the *family tree*, dates, p
