this and that

So, I get up this morning, and the rag-rug fairy tied all my rag-rug pieces together and had them wound in a nice ball.  I think I will leave more out tonight and see if it can happen again.

OK.  I like Ross now.  These shoes were $1.49.  Purple velvet DUCK SHOES.  IN MY SIZE.  My plans are to go into that store every time I get groceries from now on.  Can't beat $1.49 for some of the neatest shoes in the world.

I have seen this in a couple of places on blogs and the internet in general.  I was fully planning on ordering one....but our Kroger store had them for $12 something.  We've made 6 or 7 cups of coffee with this in our K-pot....and I am tickled to have it.

I can now buy fun kinds of ground coffee.....not to say that Wal-Mart store brand decaff is a fun brand, but it's what I always used to drink.  And I lived.

These are useful, not beautiful.  I need useful when I garden.  I bought some very low cost snippers....I am trusting that my other ones will show up.

No, I didn't get my hair done by a Smurf.  It is my new duster.  I love the Dollar Tree, you never know what fun things you will find.  I'm not fond of dusting because I've had allergies for so many years, but the older I get, the less problem I seem to be having.  What do YOU dust with?

On the left is a candle from Wal-Mart, marked down because the *season to be jolly* is over.  I got the other one at Hobby Lobby.......I LOVE their candles.  Don't buy one there unless they are 1/2 off.  Just wait.

Thanks Daniel.  You know I love both of these things.  Had a nice morning visiting..........

Now to finish a birthday present.

I love to get up in the morning.  There's so many things to do, places to go, people to text, things to eat and drink.  I'm thankful I am healthy and I'm thankful for my friends.

Lots of 'happy' in this post! I have been thinking of getting the keurig thing to brew my own coffees. You are the first person that I 'know' that has one. Glad you like it, now maybe I'll try it. I love Ross, too... don't get there nearly as much as I would like. Your shoes are cute. And the rag fairy is wonderful.. can't wait to see what you are making!

Your day and surprises were lovely to see. I love the shoes too! I found some shoes for 3.00 at the teen store Rue 21...kids dont like but I love and I bought seven pair as they are nice with dresses, skirts and are simple yet casual.

I don't always post or reply to your stuff but I do always read them. They are always so hoppy/happy and I like that. :)

I also love your pics!

Now that you have that new fangled board thing, you can pin your neat pics from here, onto there, to share! I may have to go thru your stuff and pin the ones I like too.

Hoppin' away now....

I LOVE your shoes!! I'm going to have to stop in at our Ross to see if they have any. As for dusting, I use the Kroger brand of a duster...confession time: I hate to dust. It's one of the chores I can't wait to teach my children so they can do it! :) Is that bad? As for the coffee and Shipley's donuts...my mouth is already watering! Can I come over? Loved your post!!
i dust (i DO) with a swiffer duster that i found free in my mailbox one day.
not a smurf's head.

Of course it's OK to teach your kids to dust. And sweep. And rake. And do dishes.....and clean out the car and under the bed!

I dust with a micro fiber hand mitt I bought from tupperware. I probably paid too much for it. But I was helping out a relative. LOL
I do like it, though. It really picks up the dust and I don't have to purchase dust spray anymore. So that's a plus. :)

I have decided to start following your blog. I guess I am your true friend now. I, however, will not be getting a blog of my own but will ask you to post things about me and for me on your blog. Is that allowed?

Where ARE you? Don't know why the last several posts didn't post....I finally came over here to find out if everything is OK! Looks like you've been busy.

I'd like me some of those rag balls - if YOUR rag rug fairy would like to drop in at my place!

My Favorite Child

I wish I had all the pictures I wanted, to go with this blog post........because I know a *picture paints a thousand words*, but for a large part of our family's life, old fashion cameras and old fashion pictures were being used.  So, many of the pictures that would help paint this post are somewhere in boxes and books.  It would take a month of Sundays to find them all so  I will just have to count on your imagination and my memory! FAVORITE: most liked, preferred above all others Sara, you were my favorite.  You were our first baby and we were so excited for you.  Your hair was perfect for me to learn how to braid and you always were very still for me.  You were the first little girl I got to dress up and put lacy socks on.  You were such a fun little girl to read to.  You memorized the books we had and it was a big part of our day to read with each other.  *where is the bear when the wind blows cold?*.    You have always been interested in the *family tree*, dates, p
