Germantown Cookies
2 cups sugar
2 cups brown sugar
4 stix STOREBRAND HIGH OIL CONTENT margarine (softened but not melted)
4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
************whip all of that together in a large bowl*****************
5 cups flour
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. baking powder
***********************sift, then add to the sugar mixture********************
2 cups quick oatmeal
2 cups coconut
one package mini semi sweet chocolate chips
nuts to your liking
*******************add this to the mixture********************
can put the dough in the fridge for a bit while you get the oven and cookie sheets ready..........this makes a lot of cookies
these freeze well
5 to a baggie and toss them in the freezer
350 oven~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~10 minutes?
I like mine more done than soft
rotate the cookie sheets in the oven from top to bottom
do NOT leave the kitchen
let the cookies cool on the sheets for a few minutes
put in a nice tight container with a piece of bread to store them
