I'm Glad

I guess I'm glad that I don't have time to blog.  I really like to, but I really like to be busy, too.

I save boxes to put weeds in.  They're easy to cart around the yard.

I put spent candles and smelly sticks in Blue's Room for one last hopeful sweet smell.

I hang old cards on the garage wall, so I can see them all the time.

I need to take my egg-shells to my mulch pile.....

Breakfast dishes this morning were fun.  Daniel came to eat with us.  I fixed biscuits, sausage patties, sausage gravy and eggs.  I didn't burn anything.

So, if I'm not blogging, my days are just packed..........and there's treasure everywhere.
And I am BLESSED.

Now I'm fixing to use my new little cart and gather up yard trash.
Then I will shuck some corn for supper.

Earlier....we went to the post office to mail some flower seeds to a friend.
Went to Girourds to look for some paint and bought ac filters.
Went to Salvation Army and James bought a concordance for fifty-cents.
Got water.
I made some macaroni salad and gave Bunny a bone.

What are YOU busy doing?

Same here, Mrs. Mo! I want to blog, but I am sooo busy lately. Blissfully busy. I hope to have a minute or two to get one in, like I did tonight, but otherwise I am 'doing' :)
Love to you dear, dear friend!

Today was laundry day and I took a break to explore a consignment shop that was chock full of goodies. I bought a nice picture for my bath room and am now still doing laundry. I love that you put cards up in your garage.:) Your blog shows that you have joy in your home and with yourself...that is one reason I keep coming back to visit.

My Favorite Child

I wish I had all the pictures I wanted, to go with this blog post........because I know a *picture paints a thousand words*, but for a large part of our family's life, old fashion cameras and old fashion pictures were being used.  So, many of the pictures that would help paint this post are somewhere in boxes and books.  It would take a month of Sundays to find them all so  I will just have to count on your imagination and my memory! FAVORITE: most liked, preferred above all others Sara, you were my favorite.  You were our first baby and we were so excited for you.  Your hair was perfect for me to learn how to braid and you always were very still for me.  You were the first little girl I got to dress up and put lacy socks on.  You were such a fun little girl to read to.  You memorized the books we had and it was a big part of our day to read with each other.  *where is the bear when the wind blows cold?*.    You have always been interested in the *family tree*, dates, p
