People park in New Jersey and take the ferry to New York.  So that's what we did.  When you're in Rome.....

My Aunt Gladys said we were going to nickel and dime her to death.....I always smile when I hear it or read it somewhere.  (and she is still alive by the way)

Don't tell secrets in this corner for they will surely be heard.

Feeding our (Independent KJV Baptist) tour guide.....and yes, these guys were easy to spot in a crowd. It rained cats and dogs while we ate.

M&M store.....there was also a Hershey's store.  I bought an M&M spatula and measuring spoons to remember the trip.  Like I would forget it?

Central Park....at this particular time, this park made our home town feel as dry as Arizona.  It was damp and humid and drippy and steamy and wet and puddle like.

The Lego store.  You could buy a large cup for $17.  I don't do Lego's, M&M's or Hershey's chocolate, but the stores were still fun to go into.

I cleared 357 people off of this part of the Brooklyn Bridge so I could take a picture.  It was worth all the trouble it caused.....

The tile on the New Jersey side of the Staten Island Ferry.
I loved it....looks like confetti to me.

We had a Funday in New York....it rained on us for a little bit....now it will only be a part of the memory.  We're out of kids, so I don't know if we will ever be back.

My Favorite Child

I wish I had all the pictures I wanted, to go with this blog post........because I know a *picture paints a thousand words*, but for a large part of our family's life, old fashion cameras and old fashion pictures were being used.  So, many of the pictures that would help paint this post are somewhere in boxes and books.  It would take a month of Sundays to find them all so  I will just have to count on your imagination and my memory! FAVORITE: most liked, preferred above all others Sara, you were my favorite.  You were our first baby and we were so excited for you.  Your hair was perfect for me to learn how to braid and you always were very still for me.  You were the first little girl I got to dress up and put lacy socks on.  You were such a fun little girl to read to.  You memorized the books we had and it was a big part of our day to read with each other.  *where is the bear when the wind blows cold?*.    You have always been interested in the *family tree*, dates, p
