Room at the Cross

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I just got off the phone with my mom.....before we hung up, I told her what a blessing it was that I could call her and ask her to pray for some things going on in our life.  Not too long ago, I couldn't even DREAM of asking her to do so.  She is now a Christian.....and she does pray.  For some reason this song came to my mind.  There were many sad years waiting for her to become a Christian....there's always room at the cross for one more. Even my mom.

The cross upon which Jesus died,

Is a shelter in which we can hide;
And its grace so free is sufficient for me,
And deep is its fountain as wide as the sea

There's room at the cross for you,
There's room at the cross for you,
Tho millions have come, There's still room for one
Yes, there's room at the cross for you.

Tho millions have found Him a friend,
And have turned from the sins they have sinned,
The Savior still waits to open the gates
And welcomes a sinner before it's too late.

There's room at the cross for you,
There's room at the cross for you,
Tho millions have come, There's still room for one
Yes, there's room at the cross for you.

The hand of my Savior is strong,
And the love of my Savior is long;
Through sunshine or rain, through loss or in gain,
The blood flows from Calvary to cleanse every stain.

There's room at the cross for you,

There's room at the cross for you,

Tho millions have come, There's still room for one

Yes, there's room at the cross for you.

  Psalm 42:9   I will say unto God my rock,  Why hast thou forgotten me?  why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?     Canst thou answer this, believer? Canst thou find any reason why thou art so often mourning instead of rejoicing? Why yield to gloomy anticipations? Who told thee that the night would never end in day? Who told thee that the sea of circumstances would ebb out till there should be nothing left but long leagues of the mud of horrible poverty? Who told thee that the winter of thy discontent would proceed from frost to frost, from snow, and ice, and hail, to deeper snow, and yet more heavy tempest of despair? Knowest thou not that day follows night, that flood comes after ebb, that spring and summer succeed winter? Hope thou then! Hope thou ever! For God fails thee not. Dost thou not know that thy God loves thee in the midst of all this? Mountains, when in darkness hidden, are as real as in day, and God's lo...
