irritating

This has got to be the most irritatingaggravatingunreasonable thrift store I have ever been to in my life. This place was ridiculous. Every thing was in one of these plastic bins. No sizes, no order, no NOTHING. Come on guys.........take just a few minutes and put all of the curtains in one, all the baby clothes in another, and keep the boots separate from women's skirts and pillowcases. UGH. And to top it off, you paid for it like you were buying a salad.......they weighed it. Try to figure that up in your head. I got a little jacket cause it had a bunny tag. I didn't much care to dig any deeper.

Don't know if this was a *Goodwill* or not, but we have one like this in our area...it gets the overflow or something like that, it is not their official type stores, hence you buy some things by the pound...I have never gone, my sisters have..this mess would make me crazy....think it is almost...GROSS...

Hmmm, I can see how it wouldn't fit in with your style of thriftstoring. You have a good system already...don't fix what ain't broke.

I am with you on this one!!! I hate going into a place where things are not in SOME kind of order. I don't care to go digging around either. I hope the wetness hasn't caused your plans to be ruined for today. If so, knowing you, you will have a good day anyway, sure hope so. Grandma

Wait! Either we live in the same area, or Goodwill is changing over all its outlet stores to look like this. Ours rolls new tables of assorted stuff out every hour.

Grandma, I'm still pulling weeds!

This particular Goodwill was in North Mississippi, about 15 minutes from Memphis. I can't remember the name of the town.

This would be the equivalent of clothes thrown on a driveway on an old sheet.....or tent.....and call it a yard sale.

My Favorite Child

I wish I had all the pictures I wanted, to go with this blog post........because I know a *picture paints a thousand words*, but for a large part of our family's life, old fashion cameras and old fashion pictures were being used.  So, many of the pictures that would help paint this post are somewhere in boxes and books.  It would take a month of Sundays to find them all so  I will just have to count on your imagination and my memory! FAVORITE: most liked, preferred above all others Sara, you were my favorite.  You were our first baby and we were so excited for you.  Your hair was perfect for me to learn how to braid and you always were very still for me.  You were the first little girl I got to dress up and put lacy socks on.  You were such a fun little girl to read to.  You memorized the books we had and it was a big part of our day to read with each other.  *where is the bear when the wind blows cold?*.    You have always been interested in the *family tree*, dates, p
