IT CAN ALWAYS BE WORSE
From the day you were born,
Till the day you die,
There is nothing that happens,
Which couldn't be worse.
They never taste, who always drink'
They always talk, who never think.
While you are doing one piece of work don't be thinking of another.
Another good way to get tanned is to roll up your sleeves and hoe the weeds in your back yard.
"You've been a great traveller, Mr. Bunsby."
"Yes; but I wish I had travelled less and seen more."
In beauty, faults conspicious grow;
The smallest speck is seen on snow.
"Always pay as you go," said and old man to his nephew.
"But, uncle, suppose I have nothing to pay with."--
"Then don't go."
DO IT NOW
If ever you find yourself where you have so many things pressing upon you that you hardly know how to begin, let me tell you a secret: take hold of the first one that comes to hand, and you will find the rest all fall into file.
YOUR NEIGHBOR'S HENS
If your neighbor's hens are troublesome,
And steal across the way,
Don't let your angry passions rise,
But fix a place for them to lay.
DEFINITION OF DWADLING
.....stumbling over a propensity which easily besets you from not having your time fully employed.
Sir Walter Scott
I will listen to any one's convictions, but pray keep your doubts to yourself.--
Care to our coffin adds a nail, no doubt,
And every grin, so merry, draws one out.
