What kind of proper letter? Like the very eloquent, newsy, intelligent ones of old, or a proper business letter, or what?

the writing post was prompted by a Winnie the Pooh book.......O. goes to a thrift store without me and buys a cool little book.....so while she's sleeping, I get quotes out of it.
