second week/ kitchen

OK everybody. I sure don't want to give the impression that this is easy. Oh yes, I will get my reward, but in the meantime, well, I don't know.

I do like things to be organized. Even clutter-bugs like to know where their stuff is.

Where is the tin-foil? Where is the salt? Where is a chair? How did Foghorn Leghorn land where he did, with his foot in a tea-cup? And no, the apple probably isn't good anymore.......except maybe for a small pie........if you could find a small pie-pan.

I did OK with all of this up until this morning. I realized we were going to bring groceries home to............uh, no place to really put them. And to think I used to complain about having to put groceries UP. Never again.

Well, it could be worse, right?
I could have that old orange, pitiful, pathetic kitchen.............and never get a new stove, no nice floor, no new window, no nothing.

So we'll keep chugging along.
I DO know where my coffee pot is, and a cup, and the liquid creamer is safe in the fridge.

The trash men came to get our pile. It's gone. The old kitchen is gone except in our memories. Orange memories. Now we will be making yellow and green memories.

Oh yeah... it could be worse. You could be like Mrs. Grisel and not have a kitchen sink for months.
Smile and put those groceries away neatly.

Or even more worse and be to some of the places that I visited in Mexico and the people didn't even have a sink nor expect to get one. I guess that "this too shall pass." It will only be a memory a hundred years from now or will it?lol Grandma

Yep, I have a picture of a woman in Panama standing beside a table and a window. That was her kitchen.

My Favorite Child

I wish I had all the pictures I wanted, to go with this blog post........because I know a *picture paints a thousand words*, but for a large part of our family's life, old fashion cameras and old fashion pictures were being used.  So, many of the pictures that would help paint this post are somewhere in boxes and books.  It would take a month of Sundays to find them all so  I will just have to count on your imagination and my memory! FAVORITE: most liked, preferred above all others Sara, you were my favorite.  You were our first baby and we were so excited for you.  Your hair was perfect for me to learn how to braid and you always were very still for me.  You were the first little girl I got to dress up and put lacy socks on.  You were such a fun little girl to read to.  You memorized the books we had and it was a big part of our day to read with each other.  *where is the bear when the wind blows cold?*.    You have always been interested in the *family tree*, dates, p
