A Word From Lydia!!!!

These are a few pic from our vacation... Hope ya like 'em!

Can you see the Cougar in this picture?? My dad was standing right in front of it and he said, I can't see anything! It was really funny! I think that was at the Witchita zoo in Kansas..

It was my FIRST night in a hotel!!! It was really fun! We stayed in Best Western through out our trip. They had really good Breakfast's, there beds were REALLY comfy... Escpecially the pillows!!!!!!!! The first night we stayed in the Hotel, we watched 'The Secret Life Of Walter Minny... or Finny, or Dinny...... I KNOW it has a 'inny' in it, but i don't know what the first letter it! Hehehe! But Best Western is the best! (even though Best Western is the only Hotel I've stayed in!!!!)

This was me and a Bronze Giraffe.. All through out alllll the zoos we went to had Bronze animals in it. I took a picture with a, Gorrilla, Rabbit, Chimpanzee, Warthog, (i think) an Elephant, and a Lion... I think there was more I just can't think of it right now.

This me and some of my friends. From the top left, Victoria, Alta, Me, and Alexandrea. This was our 4 of July service. My sister and some of the church people decorated the church. It was really Fourth Of July-ish! (Hey! I just made up a new word!)

Thanks for visiting my blog. If you have butterfly bushes, you will find lots of pretty butterflies around. I had fun making pictures of them.

Don't Be Idle

This is Zephyr. She is the most discontent, unhappy cat I've ever seen in my life. She is selfish plain and simple. All she can think about is HER belly. This is not done in silence. When I get up (early), she's been up for hours wasting away. She's died of starvation 8 times. Don't be like Zephyr. The Rare Jewel of Christian Contentment by Jeremiah Burroughs   "Who are the men who are most discontented?  but idle persons-- for they lie around and find fault with everything."   (page 50-51) Zephyr is an unhappy cat. Not a happy camper.   How about you? IDLE lazy, slothful, work-shy (ha ha) shiftless, inactive, sluggish (like a bad drain) without purpose DISCONTENT dissatisfaction with circumstances displeasure Have you no weeds to pull? No list to make or finish? No bread to bake? Nothing to mend or fix? No corner to clean? Nothing to learn? No letter to write? No project to fin...

My Favorite Child

I wish I had all the pictures I wanted, to go with this blog post........because I know a *picture paints a thousand words*, but for a large part of our family's life, old fashion cameras and old fashion pictures were being used.  So, many of the pictures that would help paint this post are somewhere in boxes and books.  It would take a month of Sundays to find them all so  I will just have to count on your imagination and my memory! FAVORITE: most liked, preferred above all others Sara, you were my favorite.  You were our first baby and we were so excited for you.  Your hair was perfect for me to learn how to braid and you always were very still for me.  You were the first little girl I got to dress up and put lacy socks on.  You were such a fun little girl to read to.  You memorized the books we had and it was a big part of our day to read with each other.  *where is the bear when the wind blows cold?*.    You have alw...
