A Special Cake Recipe

Aunt Margie didn't title this, we did. It has been cake for company for many years around here. We make it in a bundt pan..........be careful not to have a pan where the batter is too deep or it will not get done in the middle.
Aunt Margie died this past Sunday morning. I didn't know her very well, but we spoke of her often just because of this recipe. I'm glad I have it in her own handwriting. She brought this cake to a family reunion a LONG time ago.......anybody that has tasted it, has loved it. And yes, that IS a lot of oil to add to a recipe!!! Feel free to use it for *your* company.

AUNT MARGIE'S CAKE

1 1/2 cup oil
2 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla

mix

3 cup flour
1 1/2 tsp soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp cloves
1/2 tsp nutmet

sift 3 times
add to above ingredients

2 cup cut up pears or apples
1 cup chopped nuts

bake 325 for 1 1/2 hour
