Lydia's Post........Horses

This horse is Easy Money. My Uncle's horse. He's a lightish brown Quarter Horse. I really like to ride him. I also like to pet him! *SMILES*
He is 18 or 19... I think. His muzzle is really soft. I can't wait to see him again!
This horse HERE is Nubbins. She is a four or five year old gray mare. She's really pretty and nice. I think she is also a Quarter Horse. Her mane and tail have a little bit of yellowish in it. I miss her sooo much!
I can't wait to see her again!
These horses here are Nubbins, Lady Nyla, and Pocket Change. I got the priviledge of naming Lady Nyla. She's a reddish brown filly. I think she's two or three years old. She's is very pretty. She is soooo soft! I can't wait to see her again!
The horse in that back is Pocket Change. She's the smallest of all the horses. She's really sweet though. She's shy.
I can't wait to see them again!

Have a great day everybody!

Lydia,
I think horses are some of the most beautiful animals. When I was your age, my parents took me to a church camp every summer in
Colorado, and there were always horse rides (they had about 10-15 horses and took us along a trail, so all we had to do was hold on).
I ALWAYS had sore legs afterwards, but it was worth it. :o)

Aunt Theresa, I wouldn't laugh at you!

Mamalama, tell Maggie I said hi and that I wish I could have a horse of my own too!

Grandma, Yes it's really really fun to ride on horses. Someday I want to go to pony land in Angleton. You can ride horses all by yourself there!
Love you too

Mrs. Kim, Ya, it it does give you sore legs to ride on horses!

I just love horses and these are very beautiful.

In my early 20's I was privileged to be able to work on an Arabian horse farm. Arabians are so beautiful but very high spirited.

I'm not a very good or experienced rider but for me just being near them is good enough!

Thanks for sharing! (o:

mrs.b, Arabians are my most favorite breed! And yes, they are VERY high-spirited.
I mostly like light-boned horses.
I'm not exactly the most best horse rider, THATS for sure!

I wish I had all the pictures I wanted, to go with this blog post........because I know a *picture paints a thousand words*, but for a large part of our family's life, old fashion cameras and old fashion pictures were being used.  So, many of the pictures that would help paint this post are somewhere in boxes and books.  It would take a month of Sundays to find them all so  I will just have to count on your imagination and my memory! FAVORITE: most liked, preferred above all others Sara, you were my favorite.  You were our first baby and we were so excited for you.  Your hair was perfect for me to learn how to braid and you always were very still for me.  You were the first little girl I got to dress up and put lacy socks on.  You were such a fun little girl to read to.  You memorized the books we had and it was a big part of our day to read with each other.  *where is the bear when the wind blows cold?*.    You have alw...
