I have brought both to a fire before, I think I might need to think about being a Water girl more often...

Depending on the nature of the fire I may bring wood or I may bring water.

If the fire is providing heat and comfort I want to be hauling wood.

If the fire is bringing destruction I want to be hauling water.

The key is possessing discernment to know the kind of fire with which you are dealing.
Well now that is true. Just depends on the situation what we bring!
