A little poem to sing....

This is a little poem I had on the wall in the room I used to teach Sunday School.......I would sing it to the girls while they were coloring........
it is to the tune of: Deck the Halls OR Rueben Rueben

Live for something be not idle
Look about thee for employ
Sit not down to useless dreaming
Labor is the sweetest joy

Folded hands are ever weary
Selfish hearts are never gay
Life for thee has many duties
Live for something, while you may.

I liked the Reuben Reuben tune best. :) That's a great poem to teach the little ones!
