When we drive by places like this, I always say: "What a dump." But I don't mean it.... When we got to DC, we took the subway down to the Mall right away. And I don't mean Macy's and Dillards..... It's funny, you drive a whole day, then walk a whole day. We complain when we sit, we complain when we stand. These big buildings make you feel really small..... James gets this all figured out, then we just go go go. The people that ride these things every day are very good at it, and you sure don't want to get in their way.... This was it. The picture that told me summpin was up with my camera.
Kim, Way more than the Grand Canyon, fine dining, or showers of stars, my heart appreciates your company. I'm sure you *must* have your faults. I prefer to remain in the sunshine of your most obvious gifts. Good friends want to know what makes our hearts slow down, speed up, or even skip a beat. .....and I'm pretty sure, if you were here, you'd love Bunny, too....
The little sharp vexations And the briars that cut the feet, Why not take all to the Helper Who has never failed us yet? Tell him about the heartache, And tell him the longings too, Tell him the baffled purpose When we scarce know what to do. then, leaving all our weakness With the One divinely strong, Forget that we bore the burden And carry away with the song. Phillips Brooks
I know not what shall befall me; God hangs a mist o'er my eyes, And thus each step of my onward path He makes new scenes to rise, And every joy he sends me Comes as a sweet and glad surprise. So I go on not knowing;I would not if I might; I would rather walk in the dark with God Than go alone in the light; I would rather walk with him by faith, Than walk alone by sight.
