Rabbit Trails

I got some Crocs.........and just 4 years ago, I didn't know what a blog was, a croc, or a jibbet. Now I have a blog, I own some crocs and I'm looking for a neat jibbet.

Olivia and Daniel went for a ride up to headquarters. On their way back, Olivia saw a truck pulling a trailer and she wanted to be sure to not be in their way...so she put her attention to that instead of the ditch she soon found herself in. The wife in the truck saw Olivia and Daniel and they slowed down, which meant Olivia wondered where the truck and trailer went......which caused even more distraction (while going down a steep hill). Well, she went off the road, into a culvert, flipped and landed on the road. The man in the truck was a fireman from Brenham........he got out and of course helped Olivia as much as he could. He sent Daniel running to headquarters to call 911. A park host came to tell us that our daughter was hurt from a bike accident so we rushed to the spot where they were. Olivia's face was covered in blood but she was talking and could answer questions. An ambulance got there 20 minutes later. They cleaned her up, checked her out and she had a rough t...

Here we are, walking down a trail to get to Pedernales River and here is this Organic Television! The kids just had to sit and watch it for a little while. It was great. The seating was a bit rough, but the show was worth it. Who woulda thunk that out there, in the middle of nowhere that there would be such a great thing to do.

I learned that Daniel's last name is NOT Boone....do not follow him on a trail and expect to get anywhere but lost. I learned to carefully check shoes because scorpions are a real thing............. I learned that I should have brought more clothes pins........... We should have brought a better bigger trash can, Daniel should have brought two pairs of pajamas or NOT used one for swimming.....I learned that helmets and seat belts are more comfortable than a stretcher (thanks to the 911 Ambulance Driver's 'Garden Club wife' for this one), bring some rain ponchos from the dollar store and buy some yummy suckers for walks. Also, call before you haul. In other words, don't bring your horse all the way to Pedernales without calling cause the trails just might be closed. Get up early and sit on the picnic table if you want to see lots of critters. Stay on the path. Have at least 900 pictures on your memory card if your vacation is 13 days long.
