Thursday.

For today.....I will finish my sunflower aprons and dust our bedroom....supper is ready, just waiting for a box of stuffing Lydia will buy when she shops with Heather and the girls today.

Outside my window.....it is very still. Humid. Still kind of dark.

I am thinking.....about the services we had last night at church and how blessed we all are to have one another.  I don't know what I would do without a church family.

In the kitchen.....there are grease spatters on the stove top from the frying of the chicken on Tuesday night, our Kuerig coffee machine is on the blink, a crock pot needs washed......and I like the new pink dish soap Lydia picked out.

I am wearing.....my housecoat.  I will get dressed at 7.  This housecoat was given to me by my midwife after our 2nd child (son) was born 27? years ago.  It's blue with white flowers....made from a knit fabric....not cotton, but I've always loved it.

I am going....nowhere today as far as I know.  Which is fine with me.

I am reading..... a Miss Read paperback book and a memoir about the childhood and grownup life of a *foodie*

I am hearing.....my little blue fan.....it helps my laptop not get so hot....

Around the house.....it is very quiet.  Except for the cat.  She wants me to feed her.

One of my favorite things..... is the morning.  I am a morning person.  If it was morning all day long, I would get SO much done.

A few plans for the rest of the week....slow week, not going anywhere.  Need to clear out the garden? underneath the avocado tree.  It is getting rather wild and jungly.

A peek into my day....

An avocado tree???? I'm jealous. Does it produce avocados?

"Morning...all day long..." Now THERE'S a concept!

Kim, the Kuerig needs a good cleaning or tonic......

Rebecca, yes, we have a HUGE avocado tree. It bore fruit one year that we plucked and used for about two months. They were HUGE, creamy yellow inside and delicious. The other years NO fruit, or the fruit that was on it, got blown away by hurricane/tropical storm winds. Didn't have any fruit this year. :( It is also very sensitive to frosty nights.

Be careful about the laptop....mine started getting hot a lot and then it died. :o( Hope yours doesn't.

I wish I was a morning person, I think I'm going to try harder to be one. :o)

Mrs. B.....I am very careful with it! It is always on my desk, always on a little platform and the fan is always on.
I've been getting up at 5:35 every morning since school started and I am alone until 8:30 to just do my *michele* things. It's very nice. I say alone.....Sheba is always here to keep me company....Bunny sleeps late.
that's because Sheba is a baby. Bunny is a teenager. >.<
I chuckled when you mentioned that as a morning person, you could get so much done is it was morning ALL DAY :-)

Fun hearing about your day!

this and that

So, I get up this morning, and the rag-rug fairy tied all my rag-rug pieces together and had them wound in a nice ball.  I think I will leave more out tonight and see if it can happen again. OK.  I like Ross now.  These shoes were $1.49.  Purple velvet DUCK SHOES.  IN MY SIZE.  My plans are to go into that store every time I get groceries from now on.  Can't beat $1.49 for some of the neatest shoes in the world. I have seen this in a couple of places on blogs and the internet in general.  I was fully planning on ordering one....but our Kroger store had them for $12 something.  We've made 6 or 7 cups of coffee with this in our K-pot....and I am tickled to have it. I can now buy fun kinds of ground coffee.....not to say that Wal-Mart store brand decaff is a fun brand, but it's what I always used to drink.  And I lived. These are useful, not beautiful.  I need useful when I garden.  I bought some very low cost sni...
