your pictures

What if your computer crashed.  You would lose pictures of your precious pets. Your friends.......... You would lose fuzzy pictures of your kids and stuffed animals. If your computer crashed and you lost all of your pictures....you might forget who you are. You would lose precious memories.  Sometimes, memories are all you have. You would lose the funnest neatest pictures you might have ever taken if your computer crashed. You just cannot re-do some pictures.  Those days will never happen again. You take a picture, then it's over.  For good. You would lose pictures of camping, vacations, trips, anniversaries, birthdays, holidays. Church people, family, friends, get-togethers, bbq's, suppers, dinners, fun times, happy times..................... If you lost all your pictures, you could never prove that you DID have ONE zinnia in 2011 that wasn't PINK. Google it or believe me.........you can save pictures on dvd's, not just cd's.  Wha...

Set the Table

The earliest settlers in America took their meals at a bord or borde-literally a wooden plank or two, set on a trestle.  This arrangement made sense because it could be dismantled after dining to make room for other activities-an important consideration in modest dwellings.  to 'set the table' for dinner meant, literally, to set trestle and board in front of those who intended to dine.  We also reference that early arrangement whenever  we speak of 'room and board'.  taken from "The Kitchen Linens Book" by EllynAnne Geisel

did you know?

Did you know that if you blow hot air on a thermostat, that it will come on.......even when it wasn't really ready to do so? It's a trick you learn if you live where it's hot more days than not.

Save a Frog

It seems like I posted it before..........forgive me if I already have.......but I am sure you all need to be reminded again and again. What are YOU doing to make sure YOUR frogs thrive? Do your part. Create frog friendly environments. You won't be sorry.

Rabbit Hutch Store

I have an online store and Olivia just fixed it up for me. It's been closed for a while because of graduations, trips, vacations, grandkids visiting, a new grand-daughter and IKE, but all of those things are over now. I'm sure nothing else will ever happen again, because it all JUST happened in the past 6 months. www.therabbithutchstore.blogspot.com

so, we got a different vehicle

that is Caleb in the red and white striped shirt......I think it makes him look like a pirate...... We are now the proud owners of a 2,000 Mercury Marquis.yay. we got it for LOTS less than the fated Blue Book value. yay. It already lost a hub-cap. I do like the color, but I would have preferred a root-beer brown Chrysler Aspen........but those are REALLY spendy. I'm sure a car has its advantages over a passenger van. I just can't think of any right off hand. Help me out. anybody.

Our Retro Van........

All good things must come to an end. This too shall pass. You'll get over it. Time heals everything. Joy comes in the morning? Well, no matter the quote, the van is no longer a REAL part of our family. Daniel drives it back and forth to his job now and we will take it to the ocean every once in a while..........but it is done being a main mode of transportation. I'm not just real happy about it. We've had it for a hundred years or so and it's kind of hard to let go of. It used to be filled to capacity, which is 8. It's just a plain old passenger van. Nothing fancy, no rear air conditioner, no automatic locks and you roll the window up just like the Walton's did on their trucks. This van has caused us very little trouble, it has just a few dents and a scratch I am SURE that I am guilty of. Just the scratch, not the dents. I don't do dents. Do you know how much you can get into the back of a van this size? A desk, a small dresser, chairs, bikes, yard ar...

no pictures, sorry

Well, here we are in Houston. We went to the zoo this morning. It was breezy and not really very hot. There was cloud cover, but no rain, so it was really pretty nice. We were at the zoo from 9 to 12:30........right when we got there I went over to sit while we were waiting for the gates to open....... there was a delightful little girl in a pretty little dress.......I didn't sit close to her, but she ended up sitting close the ME! Her name was Alice Joy, she has been to a farm, she is going to hug her dad, she has a friend named Cameron and she turned 5 yesterday. Cameron was NOT invited to party. She had on a Hannah Anderson dress with a matching hat. We just talked and talked. When it was time to go, she hugged me good-bye. Then, her mother and Aunt and her stood behind us in line. She tapped on me so I would know they were behind us. We visited some more. about half way through the zoo venture, we saw them again. She ran up and gave me a big hug..........I'm s...

Come In!!!

Welcome to my new, uh, template? The blog is the same, only the template has been changed. I miss the clover on my old template, but I'm glad now to have archives........which I call Historical Bunny Blogs..........and labels which are called Trails. I still have 150 posts to label so the whole blog will be easy to........trail. I hope to have made it easy for all of you (as I've said before, the millions of you) to find anything on my blog, easily. *just for fun* and *collections* is just ONE click away. I'm still working on getting some pictures in the sidebar. When will you just be able to 'cut and paste' a picture?
