mystery photo.............

considering all the places I've been..........do you know where this is? don't read other comments until you have guessed on your own...............

more garden shots

it about got away from me this particular year! add a bunny shrimp plant, oxalis, nasturtiums and a blue weed flower here and there............

Picture from a long time ago............

I thought this was such a sweet picture of Lydia........she made herself such a healthy snack.......tied a silver robbon around her silverware..............and yes, that is sugar to dip her strawberries in...........

for Chas

Add some bulb plants......pink anyone? You need at least one cat to lounge around. Violets, spider plant, oxalis, a rusty truck.............

don't forget zinnias..........

I LOVE zinnias!

For Chas

Group your flowers, buy some seeds from the dollar store and chunk them in the garden. Buy some iron conversation pieces. Don't put very many things in a line. Just place them in the garden and plant marigolds. They usually always work. This garden is being removed from the scene as soon as I can get to it. This was about 4 years ago when we were 'making' a garden. Use all different kinds of brick, pottery, sinks, pots, planters...........plant cilantro, cosmos and marigolds. Add some rocks you got on vacation, a duck and a chicken.

for Chas

Just plant stuff you like everywhere........it will expand and look more natural every year. Put things in the gardens that you like.

For Chas

You just kinda set stuff willy-nilly and let stuff grow around it.

every 80 years or so...........

.........this is what my gardens look like!!!!!

foam rollers for curls

Braid your dd's hair without a ponytailer at the base. Put the pony tailer at the end of the hair and leave about 5-6 inches for the rollers. Use 4-6 rollers by taking little chunks of hair. Leave them in overnight......... The braid comes out wavy in the morning and the ends are curly. I always do this right before newly washed hair gets totally dry.

Quite a handful, right?

Pockets in curtains............

These stripey curtains are in our bathroom.............they got rained on right after I put them out. See, it always rains on Wednesdays.........but I did my gardens on MONDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

My gardens..........

Sorry, but I love old sinks. The little blue sink you see is out of my dad's little camping trailer.......he was fixing it up when we were there and didn't need the sink, so he pulled it out just like a dentist....for ME! The white sink in the forefront of the picture is full of doo-dads. Copper things, shamrock plants, old ceramic flowers, antique silverware...........fun stuff in general. This sink was from a house that was being torn down. I gave the men a plate full of dessert for it. It isn't the heavy unliftable kind, but I sure do like it. I also like old pans.....especially yellow ones. This garden is waiting for cilantro to grow.........and for radishes in the early Spring. More surprise flowers! I planted them everywhere, I guess. This little spot brings back good memories of the days when Daniel and I used to do gardens with each other. He doesn't help me so much now that he has real jobs.....I love this little spot in my back yard.

Lydia's Day (yesterday , the 24th)

Lydia gets up around 7:30 every morning. The past few days it has been earlier because we have to do the neighbor's dogs. It's her high paying job that comes around once in a while. Lydia helped with French Toast.........she did a bang-up job! This was before she knew that her friend was coming over the spend the day.
