My new doo-dad

I got this little mousy for 25-cents. I don't know where I'm going to put it for sure. I always like to think about it for a bit. After painting some in the hallway and doing the school book room, I'm going to be more careful about nailing holes in walls without thought. Of that I am guilty.

fixing up

Kim and I re-did the purple shelves in the kitchen. We have been enjoying this kitchen for almost a year now. I'm thankful every time I walk into it.

A present for my sink.............

A friend gave me this delightful fabric.........I wanted to use it for something that I would use and SEE a lot.........it worked perfect for a sink curtain!

a project

So we had this blank spot in the kitchen. I found a yellow frame with a matted thing? in it. The top left picture is Lydia running in Aunt Nancy's back yard.......when we were there because of hurricane Ike. The next picture is what I called the birdhouse chair. I hung my old enamel pans on it........it kind of crumbled, so we had to put it on the side of the road. I'm glad a I have a good picture to remember it by. The next is a food smile. We were at a church camp out eating breakfast. I'm sure I ate the do-nuts, but I don't remember eating an apple slice. Why would I do that? The little doll belongs to my sister. It is a really neat little doll. I don't know if she has a name. I LOVE radishes, and I love my tomato salt shaker. The picture with the blue chair was also my sister's stuff. Just still life. A chair, a plant, a clock. The bottom left makes me smile.........I love that picture.........just like the bottom middle. I LOVE to see dark blue Aut...

Happy Day

I hope you all have a great Sunday! Happy Day Happy Day Since Jesus Washed My Sins Away

inspiration

I have been cutting and tearing out magazine pictures for around 3 years.........if I saw something that I liked and I owned the magazine, I would tuck it away in a folder......and hoped it would some day turn in to 'my' kitchen. Well, it did. The left picture was the color I liked, the bottom middle is like our sink.......above that picture are open shelves........which we have. The picture to the right gave me the thoughts to do something a little different......everything in a kitchen doesn't have to be the same color? Does it?

spoons and stuff

I had a neat little thing left over from the ORANGE kitchen that I wanted to use. James put it right above his coffee maker. I love measuring spoons.....plastic, coppery and silver.

what i was doing part '1'

While James was hooking up the stove and fixing up the vent hood above the stove, I was out front cleaning things up. I love old chicken feeders...........I like chickens, too, but they take up more space than the feeders, so I will just buy the feeders. I almost got rid of the yellow flower bowl, but I cleaned it up and kept it........just right for floating yellow flowers. my tool chest with the garden things I really use I put my old water cooler up on bricks it looks like somebody actually used it not too long ago it has a yellow rope tied around the lid and handle my $2 garage sale stool I bought new tips for the legs James oiled the twirl thing I hosed it down now it's in the house

what i was doing part '2'

garden tools, some old some new my old sprinkler......see the four choices you have, you just twist it and the sprinkle will change! an old cabinet with my 'outside' things dad gave me the little gray pitcher (on top left) the white enamel bowl by the pitcher was purchased somewhere on our Mineral Wells Vacation the cow on the left just will not break, no matter what kid plays with him, he still has all four legs you think being two faced is bad, the kitty planter on the bottom shelf has three faces. dad gave me the kettle, I had the coffee pot, and the little vase with a handle matches perfectly the bottle inside the little vase holds rocks from Bee Creek, a favorite vacation water spot I love old heaters. even if they're rusty

for the new kitchen

I found some adorable little nesting bowls at our SPCA thrift store today.......and some shiny crochet thread.......and an OLD vitamin holder. It's pink. I just love these little bowls. As Evelyn would say.......they're so pitty, they're my favorite.

waiting waiting waiting

this would be decoration for the kitchen it's been waiting in a box for a few months there's all kinds of cool things in the box on top you see a very old lunch box it was a gift to me from a church member on the right is a bag full of old aprons they were from my Aunt Sharon the plastic zipper bag is full of neat dishtowels and YEE HAW! lights and fans and stuff like that this is my humble bumble little light that will go above the sink isn't it the neatest thing you ever did see? and the new microwave jet plane style oh me

lights and trees

coming out of the car wash looks like this........it looks like somewhere you'd go on vacation......... above the table above the sink above the coffee spot We are thinking abut lights like these for the kitchen......we may totally change our minds........we have a little more time to think about it.

a present

this is what Kimberly and Lydia got me for my birthday I LOVE it! I'm going to wait to hang it up........it might even go in the new kitchen.
