*if*

If you were a frog would you move into this little house?

Stuart Hamblin

Until the Day God Calls Me Home My heart can sing when I pause to remember A heartache here is but a stepping stone Along a path that's winding always upward This troubled world is not my final home. But until then my heart will go on singing Until then with joy I'll carry on Until the day my eyes behold my Saviour Until the day God calls me home. The things of earth will dim and lose their value If we recall they're borrowed for a while And things of earth that cause this heart to tremble Remember there will only bring a smile. But until then my heart will go on singing Until then with joy I'll carry on Until the day my eyes behold my Saviour Until the day God calls me home...

which?

You can be on a careless rampage when you  tear stuff down. It doesn't take much of a person to do that. When you build things up.... it takes more care and time. Which do you find yourself doing most of?

Houston Trip #2

We went to some Houston parks.  It's kind of a strange thing to see a park with buildings like that behind it.  It's strange to believe we live right by one of the largest cities in the U.S.. Since we've been to so many other cities, James decided it was time to see Houston like we've seen the other places. Downtown. I didn't think Houston had a downtown. It kind of does and kind of doesn't. Under the big buildings are tunnels.  People use those instead of sidewalks. I think it's because it's HOT on the sidewalks. If you had a mind to, I think you could go out of your apartment to your car in the underground air  conditioned parking lot......drive to another air conditioned parking lot, get out, get on an elevator UP or DOWN depending on where you work, and go to this tunnel to get to work.... and never once feel the heat. (and never once be outside) I don't think I'd do it myself. Houston parks are just like any other. There are rocks to

My birthday

I got a few patterns............Lydia has a couple of those jackety sweaters to wear with sleeveless dresses............and I thought the pattern on the right would be good for jammies. I hate it when things roll out of a cabinet because they were unceremoniously chunked in there in a red onion............when this came rolling out the morning of my birthday, I thought it deserved a picture. A nice birthday surprise......... Drank coffee out of my favorite cup............when Kimberly bought it for me a while back, she was concerned that I wouldn't use it.  I'm concerned that I can't use it EVERY morning... Everybunny knew what I wanted for breakfast.  James went to Shipley's instead of asking me to walk two miles with him.  Happy Birthday to ME> For some reason, finding pink buttons is more fun than any other color. Kimberly took me to Top China.  I LOVE their buffet.  Their dessert is lame. Honestly, who wants pineapple and red jello for dessert?

Bored?

If you ever feel bored, go out on the  street and do one good deed ten times. Carrie Catt 1859-1947

Rag Rug Present

My Granny made rag rugs and sold them for $2 and $3.  I remember her sitting in her rocking chair tearing up old shirts and other pieces of old clothes.   She was always in sort of a puff of fuzz. Her house was dusty because of her craft. I had nice pieces of fabric to use to make strips for this particular rug. I have cut up old clothes to make rugs....... to the point that my kids would ask me if I was going to cut THEIR favorite clothes up.  The clothes they actually had on....... You gotta start  with a ball of fabric strips.  It takes a little bit of time to tear them and then tie them.  It's a fun craft.  I enjoy it because I know my Granny enjoyed it. I learned some things with this rug.  If a rug starts to ruffle............STOP. Don't keep crocheting like it isn't happening. It can't be fixed.   Almost every rug I've made that is any size at all, has been ruffled. It won't happen again. I had this rug practically finished and had to unravel

The Bible

The Will of God.... is found in the  Word of God. Christians need not be confused about what the will of God is for their lives.  If the Scripture doesn't support it........then don't do it.  There are some things you don't need to pray about........you already have an answer.  If we don't like the answer, we claim confusion and that God isn't being clear . Proverbs 3:5-6 (KJV)   5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.   6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. The better you know your Bible, the more clear God's will is. The more you obey it.........the easier it is. Trust and Obey for there's no other way To be happy in Jesus but to trust and obey.
