Cat Conversation Piece Jumpers

Confrontation Piece?

Noooooooooooo, it's a Conversation Piece. Around here, that means a jumper from a shop located in Galveston or Spring, Texas. It means the fabric is nice and always very interesting, doesn't fade, the sizes can't be trusted, they have fun buttons and you CAN find them at thrift stores. I collect them. So does my friend Amy. We buy them even though we won't actually be able to wear them ourselves............. because we know we can give them to each other or find somebody that will fit into them. I was in Galveston one day, in her store, and I summoned the courage to ask her how she got started.........she said she sewed jumpers and dresses in her basement, then got a store, then made loads of them, then stopped. The fabric got too expensive (over $12.00 a yard) and nobody bought them anymore. "People don't like jumpers..." she says. humph. Amy and I do!!!!! She now sells Sarah Elizabeth dresses that have swoopy necklines and are not very modest.

Boys 101......Part 2

I've been involved in another discussion on what to do with boys.........here are more things I thought of. I cannot claim that I won't repeat myself. It hasn't been that long since I blogged about boys, so forgive me if you read something in this blog that you read in the other...... The things I list are not in order of importance. They are pretty much in the order they came to me in. boys should take all trash out and keep all trash cans clean do all yard work, mow/weed-eat/trim/yard trash/sweep sidewalks/sweep street in front of house/take care of yard deco/take care of lawn furniture/rake/move bricks/pull weeds or at least take them to the side of the road for mom/poop scoop.......there should never be dog stuff in your yard if you have a boy.... boys should take care of bikes........tires, seats and general care......let it be their job to make sure they are all in the garage at night.....they can start looking out for things early on and then they'll get used
