What I bought one day.....

I have always been afraid to buy pineapples because we didn't have any sharp knives.  Well, now we do have sharp knives.  These were two dollars each....recently then went down to $1.50........then last week they were 99cents.  Do you buy pineapple? When Lydia and I play Yahtzee, we need Sweetarts.  It just helps.  What games were you brought up playing? These are effective.......and very nice to have.  Lydia got her braces off recently, but I think I will keep buying them.  It's a green and white luxury. I just happened to be in the right place at the right time.  A Thursday morning at Kroger.  They had all of these Mrs. Meyer's cleaners marked way down.  I got all but a few.  I thought I might leave some so somebunny else could enjoy the low price.  I LOVE Mrs. Meyer's stuff........my sister got me a bottle of Radish dish washing soap.  It smells peppery.  Lovely. I am liking empty spray bottles more and more......I have tea-tree oil/water in on
We parked in downtown ABQ..... so we could walk the scenic mile to the old downtown to shop. Considering it was August, the weather was beautiful. Good walking weather. Good thing.  Just some neat houses along the way..... I haven't seen a water cooler for years. I remember my Granny had one in her front room. I would get in front of it and let it spit water on me. We can't have them where I live. Everything would be dripping. Even in July. We shopped and shopped. Then we ate at a place that was an old mansion. This little shelf and magazine keeper was in a thrift store. If I worked with wood, I would make one just like it. How about this? A sun in the wind. I love these two colors together. This little area was one of the last places we shopped. I bought a bar of licorice soap. I keep it out so I can smell it. I love black licorice. I always like to have my picture taken

Turquoise Trail

Monday we drove down a nice road called the Turquoise Trail. We got to see them turn this water-fall display on. It was fun to see how long it took the water to get to all the areas. T'would be a nice thing to have in a yard. This place was named Jezebel's. Like that was some great honor or something. Way back on an Indian reservation? there were some formations in the mountains called Tent Rocks. It was quite a trail through all of this. James and Kimberly went on the taller one.... Lydia and I took the low trail. The easy one. It's funny how you can learn so much in such a short time about yourself in a very unexpected place. Of course, our phones didn't work. Giant Dead Zone The girls and I sat on a picnic table waiting for James to come off of the trail.... and the whole time we were being bit by flies. Neat place. Lydia and I want to go back.

Tinkertown

TINKERTOWN What a glorious place to be for somebody just like me. The whole time we were there I was wishing my dad could have  been with us. He would have loved it for he does some things just like Mr. Tinkertown did. What this man wrote on this bottle haunts me to this day......... You ask, why? how? Why or how can somebody be attracted to old spokes? Well, they just are. Just look at the fine art they make. This guy had more things than Carter has Liver Pills. He probably even had empty bottles of Carter Liver Pills. How many of you had a bronze horse like this? Details. Details. No reason at all to suppose this guy was a Christian. Sad. But he can teach us all something. Get off of the couch and DO something.
