The moss rose I brought from my mom's house is blooming. I bought some from our little grocery store. I hope it makes it through our winter. Zephyr stays close to me in case I have a can of tuna or something. I have little dark gray worms that eat zinnia flowers and leaves. Nice. Gemstones. These are the BEST cookies. They have cream cheese in them.... and a thumb full of jam. We had a week of revival preaching with Brother Reynolds from Humble, Texas. We went to Pearland Saturday morning....and stopped at Busy Bee for breakfast. This cinnamon roll was BIG, but big doesn't necessarily mean good. These are some new/old wire pretties I got for my gardens.   I can't wait to fix them up somewhere. I got some beeeee-utiful fabric........ I think I will use it for the back of a quilt. A cool quilt. The little gray worms are in the back yard too.... chewing on my sunflower plants. I had a WHOLE load of table cloths, it was fun hanging them on the line. Th...

I found a dollar bill at the Kansas State Fair.  Do you ever find anything fun?

In Galveston One Day

I deserved this.  I saw a nickel on the ledge of a window on a busy shopping street in Galveston....tried to pick it up and found out that it was glued to the wood. I remember my dad used to nail or screw little cars and trucks to fence posts.....and little boys would just have to look.......and not play.   Do any of you know what Dave Ramsey says when somebunny asks how he is doing?

O suns and skies and clouds of June, And flowers of June together, Ye cannot rival for one hour October's bright blue weather.

http://tastykitchen.com/recipes/canning/candied-jalapenos/ there are more variations some are from canned and sliced some are fresh and sliced by hand some just use sugar some you don't cook some you add LOTS of ingredients I'm going to try ONE of them. http://forums.gardenweb.com/forums/load/pepper/msg0511472027761.html

Crafty?

I love to crochet.  I remember my Great Aunt Freda would sew two wash cloths together then crochet around them and make a pillow.  I was brought up in a world of pillows.....not ones you buy from a store though.  Seems like everything we owned was crocheted around the edges or hemmed by my Granma, or made by my Granny.   Young married girls are bored and don't *enjoy* being a *keeper* of the home.  I think these things help.  Projects.  SOMETHING to do.  Something to start and something to finish.  Make things to give away........for presents........to decorate their own home.   We will all like different things........just do SOMETHING. I would like to can/jar something.  I'm going to look in to Candied Jalapenos. What are you planning on doing someday?  What are you doing today?
