Don't waste a single day.

it's that time again!!

Time to go camping. With our church. I think it might rain. 30% chance can be pretty wet. Oh well. We'll have fun anyway. I remembered the grill cleaner this time. That ugly little wire brush. We have chocolate, coffee, pillows, new flashlights, old games, new beds, a fan AND a heater, root beer........and friends. And Bunny.  She doesn't even know yet.

My Sky Today

I hardly ever see traces of a jet in our sky. I guess we don't live in the paths they take in the air. Then there were TWO paths. And I saw it happen. I think it's neat how quickly the sky can change. Clouds don't last. Vapor. THEN, I saw a big flock of birds. There just aren't that many flocks of birds in the sky where we live. I'm from KANSAS and there are always flocks of birds. I love to see how they all fly with each other. Kind of like waves of the ocean. I guess I have the ocean now instead of flocks of birds. I honked, but they didn't move. I would have loved to see them all take off. In unison. The kids always used to say the birds were at church when they saw them on lines like this. everything changes nothing stays the same except one thing God's Word that's it. That's all we need.

Conversation Pieces

I wanted all four, but only got two. I love the fabric that is used for these dresses and jumpers. This one was a jumper and I made a skirt out of it. And another potholder. I left two behind. One was a  HOLIDAY jumper that I didn't think I could make into anything. The other had cherry fabric. I just LOVE finding these dresses in thrift stores.

quilt show

This is one of the goodies I got today at the quilt show. I have been energized to sew. I got a few needle threaders too. The kind old ladies use. Because they have bi-folcals....
