excitement is brewing

I added some bowls in the last picture........they're red. The lunchbox on the top is very old and was a gift to me. The coffeepot on the top right is like my mom used to use all the time. I remember watching the coffee perk in the glass ??? on the lid. We don't use the coffee presses. I guess we ought to at least try them out.

waiting

waiting waiting waiting I touched up green and yellow paint jobs. I painted the 'coffee' shelves purple. They're dry and waiting. James is at a Bible study......when he gets home we will put up the shelves. I can't wait!

just painting

I am NOT a painter. How many times do I have to say that? I dribble, it gets sticky, I can't remember whether to go North and South or East and West, it blobs, it streaks. As you can see, the drawers are in........I'm fixing to put some shelf paper in them. Let's see how big of a mess I can make with that stuff..........

random shots

it's all we have........... my 3 guys me in my favorite top Jolly playing horses with A. and L.

the BIG bar

I have never seen anybody doing Formica. I only see the finished product. It was pretty neat to see all the steps. I must admit I missed them cutting the top......but I did see them paint the glue on the board. Ugh. This is nerve wracking to me........I would never build tall buildings, put more than ONE car on a trailer to transport them from city to city, I'd never make tall slipper slides or 6 foot deep swimming pools, and I HATE people wedging things in doors, dragging things around and moving things that are too big to be moved. This is on the kitchen side...........we don't want to just paint it, but nobody in the family wants anything weird either.........so we're going to think on it for a while. I already know what I would do......I'd get some thin sheet tin.......cover it just like you would tin foil on a cookie sheet, and screw it on. I think it would look neat, and boy would it ever take the wear and tear! I imagine we will get some kind of wall...

pumpkin?

I've been a Baptist for a long time. I know why I'm a Baptist. I've been to lots of Baptist churches. I even make pumpkin bread. If somebody can tell me what in the world this sign means, I would appreciate it. It's one of the craziest things I've ever seen. (It's on the way to Mississippi.) Is this a place for Pumpkins that are Baptists? or a place for Baptists that are pumpkins? (click on the picture so you can read the sign) (and if there ARE Baptist Pumpkins, would you know it if you saw one?)
